"Alright, can I have a new student, come up to the class?" My teacher, Mrs. Bell asked. I took a deep breath, and walked to the front of the class, earning a few whispers, from Aspen and this other girl.

 "Hi. I'm Hannah Meloche, I love books and am not that much of a social bird, unless I have to." I said looking around until my eyes landed on Jonah. Keeping my gaze on him I said, "Yeah that's it." Aspen picked up and threw a spitball at me, that I dodged, quick reflex. 

"Okay th--" I cut Mrs. Bell off. I looked towards Aspen. "Also, i'm a 10th degree black belts, and was raised by a Navy soldier, so i'm not afraid to kick ass." I told her specifically, before turning to the teacher and smiling, before walking back to my desk.

"That was strong. Save it for English." Mrs. Bell said, and I smiled before taking my book out. "Okay, turn to page 1539, and you are doing partner work for the next 2 months. Yes, I am choosing your partner." Mrs. Bell replied bluntly, the last sentence earning a lot of groans. 

"Okay so reading back to the Germans and Nazis. The Nazis were attacking Germans. Daniel is going to be passing out the book, called I survived The Nazi invasion and Someone named Eva. I expect you guys to read the I survived and have Someone named Eva done with your partners." She said. "You'll have a test today on the I survived book. 30 minutes, starting when you get the book." She finished.

Daniel got up and handed out the books.  I finished it within 20 minutes prior, and started on the test.

Why did the Nazi take the kid?

A)  He was trying to escape

B) He was showing off the food he had rationed. 

C) He got out of the fence, looking for food.  

D) He cursed at the soldier.

I chose C and finished my test. I got up and turned it in, just as the timer rang. "Partners will be announced tomorrow. Class dismissed."

Bell rang and Jonah headed towards my desk. 

"Hey. Jonah. What are you.." I got cut off as Jonah kissed me. I kissed back and when he pulled away, he told me. "If anyone asks, just say that I prayed for partners with you." I nodded, fazed after what happened. 

Just when he left, Aspen stormed in."What did he say to you?" She screamed.

Oh fuck.
