I look over at Yuu-Chan to see getting punched right in the face.

"Hyakuya-Kun!" I say panicking.

Mika's POV

"Why do I have to do errands for those jerks." I hear yuu-chan mumble.

I was walking behind yuu-chan, Yoichi kun, and the girl with the big smirk. As we walked in silence the purple haired girl suddenly spoke up.

"So you're the new girl right?" She says looking straight into my eyes.

"Ye-Yes. We're in the same class." I reply trying act as normal as possible.

"Ah... yes as I recall your name was.. Mia Tepes?"

I nodded my head to answer her question.

"Well nice to meet you! I'm Shinoa, and that dumbass over there is Yuuichiro.

"HEY! WHO YOU CALLING A DUMBASS!?" Yuu-chan yells.

I couldn't hold my laugh in, as I started to giggle.

Soon Shinoa San joins me, and we all start to giggle... except for Yoichi kun.

I look over to see if he's alright.
Yoichi kun was looking down onto the floor, with a sad expression.

"Um, guys... I'm sorry for everything. I even made you guys run errands with me...sorry."

"Quit yapping!" Yuu-Chan shot back. "This would have never happened if you weren't being bullied."

"Huh?" Yoichi kun looked up. "But I wasn't getting bullied. I need to ask Monica, the guy that punched you a favor. The thing is, I failed the Imperial Demon army's entrance exam. But Monica passed with flying colors! He's even being considered for the Moon Demon Company."

"What's the Moon Demon Company," I ask curiously. 

"HUH?!?" Yuu-Chan yelled. "You don't know what the Moon Demon Company is?!? Have you been living under a rock these past years?"

...Well actually yes I have been living underground in the vampire city for about 2 years. I thought to myself. 

"The Moon Demon Company is an elected group who kills those filthy bloodsuckers!" Yuu-Chan explained with delight. 

Filthy... I guess I really am a monster after all. I'm sorry Yuu-Chan, sorry that I have to be this way. 

Anyways like I was saying. Monica passed the entrance exams, and might even join the Moon Demon Company. So I was thinking that if I get on his good side, I may be able to take the exams again with his connections."

"Why do you want to join the army?" I ask Yoichi Kun.

"Well... Revenge. For my sister. She risked her life to save me from a vampire, and I couldn't do anything." 

I looked over at Yuu-Chan to see him with a painful expression. 

Yuu-Chan... Please don't be sad about our deaths. As long as you're alive and healthy, it makes me happy. And I'm sure Akane and the others feel the same way too. 

Yuu-chan's expression changes when he catches me staring at him, as I quickly convert my eyes away. 

"Moron if you had helped her you'd be dead. Let me give you advice. Don't join the army. Your sister doesn't want revenge. Besides, a wimpy kid like you would only get in the way. We need to kill the fangs, not feed them."

 With that Yuu-chan walks away. 

From the corner of my eyes, I see Yoichi kun tearing up. I tried to comfort him, so I extended my hand to his shoulder. But before I could reach him, there was an explosion. 

EMERGENCY ALERT! ALL STUDENTS AND FACULTY MEMBERS BE ADVISED! A VAMPIRE HAS ESCAPED NEARBY! STUDENTS AND FACULTY MEMBERS PLEASE TAKE THE NEAREST EXIT OUT OF THE BUILDING!

My eyes automatically search for Yuu-chan, as I catch a black haired boy running into the school. 

"You two get out of here quickly! I'll call the moon demon company to take care of this." Said Shinoa. 

My thoughts were a mess.

I need to protect him no matter what. I don't care if he hates vampires, he's the only family I have left. 

with that, my legs run towards him.   

I can hear Shinoa san yelling at me to come back, but I couldn't stop.
