I think a little sketch of myself might be useful. We often understand a character best through writing. We can see right inside their mind; or the minds of the people who interact with them. If an author was to describe be as a story book character:
She was an odd one, whilst the world saw her as a pretty little bluebird she saw a monster in the mirror. She had wide blue eyes with long, thick lashes, and chocolate brown hair brushing past her collarbone. She had a small nose and a peculiar look about her. Her eyes were always off in the distance, uncertain, unknown.
Her mother would call her "unorganized" and "misbehaving". Her father would call her "hardworking" and "lovable". Her brother would call her his "role model" yet "sensitive." Her boyfriend said she was "f****** gorgeous", "incredible" and "perfect".
She'd call herself an absolute piece of trash.
She felt she was too small for the world, only a little above 5 feet, looking like she had never eaten. Sometimes she didn't want to be a she. She liked girls and boys and everyone in-between.
Somedays they would see her at the back of the class listening to Twenty One Pilots. Other days she'd be at the front hugging everyone.
They know her name as Avalon.
