The next day, it was the day before competition and the bus was on the Pomona Freeway heading to Phoenix to take the Abby Lee Dance Company there so they could compete at Starbound and the time was 5:10 PM and it was night since Daylight Savings Time ended weeks prior and like last time, Ryan was sitting with Abby, who was showing him a picture of his grandfather, George L. Miller.

"Ryan, in this picture that's your grandfather, but sadly, he passed away on father's day in 2000, at least he got to see you before i gave you up to Jessica for your own well being, but i know he would have loved you like me and your grandmother do." Abby told her son.

"I know he would have." Ryan agreed.

"Even before his passing, he has always thought about you." Abby added.

"Ryan, i've got a question for you." Melissa said.

"What's on your mind, Melissa?"

"Who is your favorite baseball team?"

"I like both the Dodgers and the Angels, but by one percent, i'm an Angels fan." Ryan answered.

"Maybe one day, we can head out to Anaheim and watch them play sometime in the upcoming baseball season or head to Dodger Stadium to watch the Dodgers and Angels play." Melissa commented.

"Sounds like a good idea." Ryan agreed as the girls were talking.

"What are your plans gonna be for the day after thanksgiving?" Nia asked the girls.

"I have no clue so far." Kendall answered.

"I heard Miss Abby say she's gonna take Ryan to one of the malls." Maddie said.

"The malls that is closest to Miss Abby's house are Westfield Century City and Beverly Center. But you never know, she might take him to Hollywood & Highland, it's 22 minutes fom there and the Beverly Center is 16 minutes away from there." Paige stated.

"And we have all been there before." Mackenzie told them.

"We sure have." Chloe said.

"I like visiting Hollywood & Highland and the Beverly Center." Brooke commented, then the sound of a phone ringing was heard.

"Who's phone is that ringing?" Ryan asked.

"That's my phone." Melissa answered as she pulled out her phone and saw that it was Cathy calling her phone. "It's Cathy from the Candy Apples calling."

"No way!" Abby exclaimed, shocked that Cathy would be calling one of the moms of her studio..

"Melissa, do not and i repeat, do not give her any information!" Ryan told her.

"What he said." Abby sternly added.

"Why is Cathy calling her?" Christi wondered.

"No clue." Holly responded.

"Looks like we're about to find out." Kelly commented.

"Ryan, when someone like Cathy calls me or one of the moms, that is really unethical." Abby stated to her son as Melissa answered the phone.

"What do you want, Cathy?" Melissa asked.

"Well, i was thinking there could be a time we could get the dancers together." Cathy said over the phone and Ryan and Abby both turned to Melissa and signaled to her to hang up.

"Are you heading to a competition?"

"Yes we are, we are heading to Phoenix, Arizona." Cathy answered.

Abby and Ryan both rolled their eyes in frustration, they now knew that the girls were going to have to face the Candy Apples again as the moms all fumed and the girls grumbled.
