Chapter 3

"Hi,Pro Oak.It's good to see you too." Ash exclaimed.

"I haven't lately saw you.Were you on a journey?" Pro.Oak asked.

"No,I was just relaxing." Ash said.

"Have you ever thought of going on a journey lately?" Oak Jr. Asked.

"Yeah.....about that." Ash stopped and sighed.

"I....uh..got...um...an invitation for the master league." Ash said.

"WHAT!?"Gary exclaimed in shock.

"You gotta be kidding me." Gary said disappointed.

"Why?" Ash asked.

"I thought I was the only one in Kanto who got the invitation." Gary said.

"You got that too?!" Ash asked.

"Yeah." Gary replied.

"Are you joining?"Ash asked.

Gary looked at Ash as he was an idiot.

"Of course,I am.Dummy.Who wouldn't"Gary sarcastically said.

"I wouldn't." Ash sighed.

"What?!" Gary exclaimed."Why wouldn't you?"

"As you know Gary,I have a problem with that region." Ash said.

Gary remembers.After returning from Kalos region,Ash looked lifeless and really depressed.He locked himself in his room and wouldn't come out for weeks.He hardly ate.He got worried for Ash.Though they were once Rival,they turned into best friends.He asked Ash about the reason of his depression,but he never answered his question.Every time Gary would force Ash to know about it,he just said that he had a problem in that reason.Gary wasn't satisfied with his answers.But he eventually gave up on asking him about it.He would go to Ash's house,Twice a week to see if he was doing everything correctly.After 2 year Ash overcomed his depression.But his eyes were still so lifeless.Gary told him to compete in Indigo league again.At first,he didn't had any interest.Then he eventually joined the league because of Gary's force.Then he won the league and became the "Champion of Kanto". But his eyes were still lifeless.

"Oh,Yeah right." Gary said."But Ash you still need to let whatever hell has happend on you.You need to let go.You can't just let the pain ride you for your whole life.You must finish this crisis once and for all."

"But it just hurt so much.I can't go there alone." Ash said with a hint of sadness on his eyes.

"That's why I am going with you,Ash." Gary exclaimed.

"Thanks."Ash said."But you have to make a deal."

"And what might that be?" Gary asked raising an eyebrow.

"You have to stop annoying me as much as possible though the journey,Deal?

"Deal,Then you have to wear a smile on your face.Frown doesn't suit you
man."Gary said with a bit of confidence.

"Yeah,your right."Ash put on a weak smile." Let's win this league and fulfill our dream.What do you say Pikachu."

"Pika pi!!"Pikachu replied energetically.

"Don't forget me.I am also competing  in it.remember?And I will become the pokemon master." Gary confidently exclaimed.

"We'll see about that." Ash exclaimed.

Pro.Oak was silent Though out there Conversation.Finally he spoke up.

"Well,Ash.Have you decided which pokemon will you take with you?Pro.Oak asked.
