Sophie’s POV

“You’re so sexy when you’re mad.” He whispers into my ear and walked away. Lucas smirked and glanced back winking at me. Argh the nerve!!!

“Lucas. There you are.” I heard Carter said as they walked down the hall.

“Tara na.” Lucas said and the three of them walked down the hall toward the south wing of Lucido High.

When I say three, I mean Lucas, Carter and Dale. Si Dale. He looks like the type to mess with but he’s not. Isang beses nga na may nang-bully sakanya at akala talaga ng lahat matatakot siya. Instead, he told the kid to move out of his way. Dale said those words in the most softest and sincere way ever that before the kid could even try to punch him in the face, Dale beat him down. Tama na nga kay Dale di naman siya ang bida sa story na to.

I stood there with my heart beating. Hindi dahil sa kinilig ako sa stunt ni Lucas kanina pero dahil GALIT ako. Yes, I’m pissed!!!!

I hate it kapag pinagtri-tripan ako ni Lucas. Yung tipong gusto ko na siyang bugbugin. Ang sarap niyang patayin. God, SERIOUSLY. He is going to regret it one day. Humanda ka may araw ka rin sa’kin. I scoffed to myself and grabbed for my backpack heading to dance class.

The day went by really fast, which is good. So now uuwi na ako. Yes! I walked out of school with Veronica and saw three men in black suit standing there. I scoffed and turn away. Sino ba si Lucas sa tingin niya. EPAL

“Ms. Sophie Kim” sabi ng isa sa kanila

“Yes?”

 “You’re Grandfather would like you to go to the company.”

“Right now?” nagtataka kong sabi.

“Yes Ma’am.”

Really? Eh hindi naman Gawain ni lolo na ipatawag ako sa mga tauhan niya. As in NEVER pa. “Are you sure?”

“Yes.” At pinagbuksan niya ako ng pinto sa kotse.

“Uhm… Veronica I’ll see you later nalang.”

“Okay. Call me.”

Dahan-dahan akong lumapit sa itim na sasakyan at pumasok. Bakit parang ang pangit ng pakiramdam ko. Feeling ko may di magandang mangyayari.

I feel asleep in the car and woke up by someone slightly shaking me.

“We’re here Ms. Kim.”

I force my eyes to open and got out. I glanced around and saw Lucas standing outside the door. Argh andito din pala yang bwisit na yan.

“HOY! Bilisan mo nga. Bagal-bagal.” Aba’t kapal ng mukha nito kala mo kung sino!!!!

“What is this all about?” Naiirita kong tanong sa epal na to.

“Like I know! I was forced to come here.”

Sinundan ko nalang siya papasok sa glass door ng HK Corporation kaysa naman sa makipag-away pa ako diba? Pinapunta kami sa conference room sa 10th floor. Bumukas ang pinto at pumasok kaming dalawa na bakas sa mukha ang pagkalito.

Grandpa Enzo and Mr. Hale stood there smiling.

“What the hell is this all about?” naiiritang tanong  ni Lucas.

“Come and sit down.” Ang tanging tugon ni Mr. Hale  

Lucas walked ahead and I still stood there. Seriously. Ano ba talaga ang nangyayari?

“Come on.” Granfather said and I force my legs and sat next to Lucas.

“Hurry up with this meeting. May kailangan pa akong puntahan.” Sabi ni Lucas

Wow. Lucas pouting. Haha this is funny.

“Okay.Okay.Okay.” Mr. Hale said laughing

Nilapag ni Mr. Hale ang dalawang box sa harap naming ni Lucas. Seriously. What-the-hell-is-this.

“Ano naman yan.” –Lucas

“Open it son.”

Binuksan ko ang itim na box. I gasped when I saw the silver ring with big diamond in the middle.

“A ring?” I turned to look at Lucas’s and his was a plain silver ring.

“Ano to?”-Lucas

“To carry on the Family business, napagkasunduan na naming ni Mr. Kim na ipakasal kayong dalawa before your graduation.”- Mr. Hale.

“Wait. I Sophie Kim has to get married to Lucas?” nagpapanic kong sabi.

“Yes.” They both said in unison.

“Are you guys serious?” I asked them realizing that the two of them weren’t kidding.

“I’m being serious hija.” My grandpa said.

“You two are going to get married next Monday. Gusto naming kayong ipakasal bago ilabas ang bagong promotion ng machine natin.”

“A-ayoko.” Sabi ko

“You have to.”

“Ayoko. Itakwil niyo na lang ako kaysa sa ipakasal sakanya.” Sabi ko.

“I agree. I don’t also want to get married so… you can also disown me if you want, take my money or even kill me” Lucas finally spoke letting out a long sigh

“What did you just say?” OMG galit na si Mr. Hale

Lucas stood up and look at him. “You heard me.”

“You dare to say that to me?” Mr. Hale shouted.  His fist clenched and his face red. He tried to hold his anger in.”You will do as I say.”

“I have dreams too. I want to be free! I don’t want to be stuck here and be your puppet.”

“You…” Mr. Hale swung his fist at Lucas’s face. “You dare to talk to me like that!? You’re even lucky to be still here.”
