"Victoria, hurry up! You're going to be late for your first day at school!" My dad shouted.
I have never panicked this much before. Why did summer have to end so fast?? I'm usually prepared for everything, but high school is what I'm not prepared for. Boys, gossips, school events, parties, clothes, and more.
High school is really complicated to me. It's not like your ordinary high school. The school I'm going to is filled with rich, talented, and popular students and I'm not sure if I'm going to fit in. Hopefully, I can make some friends.
I swear, finding the right outfit without being judged is hard. I actually planned what I was going to wear for high school days ago, it was that beautiful outfit I bought from that expensive shop. Sadly, my mom placed it in the washer.
I guess I'm going to have to settle for my black blouse with my cardigan and a pair of skinny jeans. Ugh. I've never looked more hideous. I found a pair of boots. My other shoes do not match the outfit I'm wearing right now.
"Victoria! What the heck are you doing up there?!" My dad asked in an annoyed voice.
"I still need to fix my hair!"
"Well, you better hurry up!"
I started fixing my hair. I just settled for my ordinary, boring hair. I don't like ponytails or headbands. After fixing my hair, I placed some lip balm on my lips so it won't be chapped since it's cold outside. Like, dead cold.
"You do know that you're wasting time?" I heard the voice behind my back. It was my annoying older sister, Trina.
She's that mean kind of teenage girl. I can't believe she's going to my school. Why, oh why?
I just ignored her question and continued fixing myself.
"Oh yeah, you got a text message from a dweeb named Turby."
"His name is Toby, not Turby. Can't you read the contact name? Or are you just blind?"
"Maybe I've been blinded by that outfit you're wearing. What kind of outfit is that anyway?"
"An outfit. Now, get out."
Trina and I fight most of the time. We were always on each other's throats. Day and night, we annoy each other, insult each other, and sometimes, hurt each other.
The text was from my ex-boyfriend, Tony. Why is he still texting me? I thought we were over?
I braced myself. I opened the message."uhm. hi. so, it's been a long time. i kinda missed you. how was your summer? i can't wait to see you at school.."
I kinda missed you. He missed me? Seriously? My heart was beating fast. I thought he moved on already? The truth is, I actually still have feelings for him but I don't want to tell him. He's the one who broke up with me. Why must I act stupid to fall inlove with him again?
Oh yeah, I forgot. I'm late for school today. I better get going before dad gets furious.
