Chapter 4 | Rainy day.

3rd Person's POV:

The last school bell rang for the day to finally end as Taehyung made his way to the parking lot where Hoseok's car sat. Checking his watch every few minutes, he was desperate to see his hyung. Sorta shaken up about what happened in English class, he felt the need to talk about it with someone.

Still leaning on the bonnet of Hoseok's car, he pulls out his phone as a drop of rain falls on his nose. He looks up at the sky, slightly saddened at the sight of grey clouds above.

Grey clouds meant no starry night..... and a starry night was important to Taehyung for many reasons.

As Taehyung watched the sky with his phone still in his hand, a walking figure stopped in their path, turning to look at the boy with his eyes lost on the sky.

"Taehyung?" he called out. Taehyung slightly startled at the sudden mention of his name turns to the direction of the voice to see Jimin.

"Are you okay? Why are you out in the rain?" Jimin asks, concerned about the boy still standing out in the open.

"Oh I- um, I'm waiting for Hobi Hyung." He states, putting his phone back in his pocket.
"What are you doing out in the rain?" he asks smiling back to the boy being sheltered by his umbrella.

"I'm just on my way home." He smiles back before noticing Taehyung slightly shivering.
With that he makes his way over to the younger boy before Taehyung noticed the rain had stopped falling on him, looking up to see an umbrella shadowing over his head.

He turns to see his English buddy now also leaning on the car as he faces towards the ground, steadily holding the umbrella over the two.

"Wait Jimin, you don't have to-"

"It's the least I can do. You've been so kind, offering me a seat in English so now I offer you my umbrella." He giggles in which that makes Taehyung's heart jump as a smile begins to form.

"Besides, you shouldn't be out in the rain like this, you might catch a cold." He informs making Taehyung's heart jump again.

He's so caring, Taehyung thought.

"Thank you." Taehyung says with a smile, actually giving proper eye contact in the process.

Jimin slightly flustered, gives a nod with a small smile back and quickly looks away as the two stand waiting in the rain.

Now, this time without any confusion in doing so, Taehyung stops to look at the boy next to him, lost in thought about how kind he is. Without another second passing, Jimin looks back, catching the eye contact of the younger boy as they both feel time slip away. As the two boys stood, the sudden sound of voices startles the both of them as they abruptly advert their eyes to stop staring at each other.

"Hi Taehyung!" the voice calls out and Tae looks up to see his best friend, with another boy. "Oh a-and Jimin?" Hoseok says waving at the two younger boys, still standing under the umbrella.

"Hi hyung" Tae replies, giving a small wave. "And Hi Yoongi" Yoongi nods back.

"So what were you two umbrella boys doing?" Hoseok asked, tease sensed in his question.

As the two younger boys grew embarrassed inside as they didn't even understand themselves about what just happened, Taehyung quickly spoke up. "We were waiting for you."

"We?" Hoseok asked.

"Yes we." Taehyung quickly retorts back. "It began to rain and Jimin offered to wait with me." He turns back to give Jimin a smile. "But what took you two so long huh?" Tae asks.

"Oh, sorry Tae, that was my fault." Yoongi began. "Hoseok and I got caught up in Music." He added.

Taehyung chuckles. "It's okay, hyung.
"You don't need to apologise." He pats Yoongi's shoulder before Yoongi gives a smile in return.

"But we should probably get going." Hoseok says pulling out his keys as Yoongi jumps in the front seat. "Jimin.. do you want a ride home?"

"Ah no hyung, it's okay I should probably-" before Jimin could finish, he felt a hand on his, gently grasping it as he began to speak.

"We're driving you home." Taehyung says before opening the back door. Jimin, flustered at the sudden gesture of the boy still holding onto his hand, gives a sincere smile before hopping into the car where their hands release.

Despite how flustered Jimin was, he felt warmth holding onto Taehyung's hand and in the back of his mind, he didn't want to let go.

The four boys set themselves up for their drive home as Hoseok backed out of the school parking lot and began on the road.

Jimin's POV:

Moments in the car had passed and we hadn't reached anyone's house yet. The rain outside had gotten stronger as we drove on and on, picking up a strong breeze along with it. Seconds passed and a work truck drove by, splashing water on my side of the car, shaking it in the process as I unknowingly gripped the handle of the door.

It's okay Jimin. Just breathe.

I slowly exhale before staring up at the now gloomy sky, growing shocked at how fast the weather had changed from this morning to now. As I stared out the window, the small sound of taps caught my attention as I turned to see Taehyung tapping his finger on the window as the raindrops fell onto it. 

Taehyung sat, drawn to the pitter pattering of the raindrops while I sat in complete awe watching over him. He finds wonders in the smallest things.

Moments passed and my eyes were still on the boy next to me as my heart grew warm at the sight of him. I smile to myself before looking away as the car stops to let Yoongi out.

"Thanks Hobi." He gives a smile before packing up his things and hopping out the car. "See you tomorrow!" He quickly says to us all before giving a final wave and shutting the door.

After Hoseok waved out to Yoongi, he drove off back onto the road and began to speak.

"Where do you live, Jimin?"

"Uh, 13 Mako street, a few streets over." I reply before seeing the figure next to me turn his head.

"Mako st?" He questions. "That's around the corner from mine." Taehyung implies with his big boxy smile. "It's also not that far from Hoseok's street either. He lives one street over." He informs as he points in the direction.

"Jimin, if you want, I can pick you up in the mornings?" Hoseok offered as he turned into Jimin's street. "It won't be a hassle, I mean you live very close." He giggles.

Jimin, taken aback by the kindness of these two thinks a moment before implying, "No it's okay, you two have already done so much for me. Besides I like walking in the morning, the sunrise is so beautiful here." I inform.

"Sunrise? Wow, you are a lot like my Taehyungie here. He loves watching the stars." He implies as I turn to see Taehyung look away in embarrassment. "That's why I give him rides in the morning because this pabo stays up watching the stars and so he wakes up late." He laughs turning to wink at Tae. "Yah- hyung!" Tae yells out before hiding his face and I giggle.

He likes watching the sky too?

As the rain continued, the car slowly pulled over as I look out my window to see my house. "Anyways Jimin, just text me whenever you need a ride okay?" Hoseok says as I quickly pack my things before smiling. "Okay."

"And if it's raining, Hoseok and I will be waiting out here for you." Taehyung adds before smiling making my heart unknowkingly flutter.

I stop and do nothing but smile back at him before getting out of the car. "Thank you." I say before he gives his last wave before rolling up the window as the car drives off.

What a day.
