Before I start, I want to introduce myself. My name is Rebecca, but I go "Becca". I'm 18 years old and a senior in high school, so I am about to graduate! I am an only child to a single mother. We live in a small house near the city. My dad, well, my "sperm donor" isn't really in the picture. When I was younger, I would get upset because he lived 15 minutes away, but failed to spend any real time with me. But over the years, I've tried not to let that get to me as much. I'm not going to lie, some days are harder than others. But overall, he's a terrible father. He always had a drinking problem and still does. He was never really there for me because of that. Plus, he still blames me for what happened, but we'll get to that later.
Anyways, I'm going to make this introduction short and sweet. I'm here to share my story. It's been 2 years since it all happened and I don't feel like I'm a victim. Let me re-phrase that, I REFUSE to live as a victim.
