The Unexpected Wedding [ON HOLD]

Prologue

Hi! this is my first story I have ever wrote on Wattpad so please excuse my grammar mistakes. Now I won't keep you waiting.. ;)

                          Prologue

I walked up to the microphone in secret, waiting for the right moment to say something. My heart was thumping in and out like I was doing something that I was going to regret. I reached out for my necklace automatically for comfort.

No, I told myself. This is about the possibility of deception and wrongdoing. I stood by the stage as the pretty lady dressed in white walked slowly down the aisle. I took one look at my aunt mouthing me "what's going on Iris?" I looked away from her because I couldn't look at her pained figure telling me not to do anything rash. She was like a mother figure to me; someone who I truly didn't want to hurt not embarrass. But people have got to do things in order for society to run smoothly.

I gathered my courage and moved it to one spot: my mouth. Then slowly put the microphone by my mouth and said, over the wedding music going on, "Excuse but, I'd like to say something", I took a deep breath and said "that lady that all of y'all are cheering for is a fraud." All eyes are on me and the music, played by the band, fell to a hush. People looked at each other wondering who the heck that girl on stage was. I felt like melting, even though I knew that I was going to get a response like that. I slowly looked at the ceiling wondering if I'll still have the courage to finish what I was saying. I looked at everyone and slowly started thinking "how in the world had I got my myself in this mess?"
