"Baby when they look up at the sky; we'll be shooting stars just passing by. You'll be coming home with me...."
"Huh, huh?!" I wake up and hit my head on my reading lamp. Great, I thought to myself, my neck is going to ache now from sleeping on my desk. As a part time writer and having no whatsoever success, I have to work hard on trying to find a plot for my boss. I rub my eyes in despair checking what time it is. "Oh my god! I overslept, again!" I slowly looked at my phone with wide eyes checking who was calling for I had a knowing feeling on who it was.
"Loving Aunt" it read. I quickly picked up the phone and said hello innocently.
"Ms.Turf! What are you doing right now?"
"Calm down, I...I...am, oh! I am taking a shower!" I face palmed myself and thought who in the right mind would step out of the middle of the shower to pick a phone? When it comes to lying I completely suck. Lying about something makes me feel uneasy because you'll have to keep up with that lie.
"Get ready this instant! Huh, I have no idea what the clients are going to think. You know that this isn't a job where you can oversleep! If you don't come a couple's hearts will break!"
I said "Yes ma'am" and hung up after saying bye. I quickly got ready, threw on a dark blue coat and left my apartment and got on a taxi. As a 25 year old, I still have no sense of responsibility. I am not working as a wedding planner but my aunt wants me to do this special wedding for her. It's her best friend's son's wedding. I already met the son and he was pretty nice and may I mention hot.
Don't get me wrong, I have no intention of doing anything with him, but I just couldn't help but check him out, I mean I had to take pictures of the couple posing and all of that.
The bride was beautiful, for she had striking red hair light and brown eyes. Her name just as well suits her: Autumn. I had to admit, they made a hot couple together. I laughed playfully then a thought came into my head and made me sigh. As a 25 year old, I still haven't found anyone special in my life. I sighed and looked towards the right as I saw the people bustling in and out of the New York City shops. There were quite a few people going in and out of a jewelry shop called "The Williams". Wow, I thought, how can these people afford those expensive jewelry.
I got off at my stop which was the Wedding Banquet hall called "The Aphrodite". I walked in and walked in the elevator. There were mirrors in the elevator, and I couldn't help but notice my appearance. A brunette with dark brown eyes with long eyelashes stared back at me. I couldn't help but smile at my 5 ft 5 frame. I was happy because I had actually got dressed nicely even though I was in a rush. I noticed another figure looking in the mirror as he glanced at his own reflection. He had sea-green eyes, a lean body, light brown hair, and a charming smile. Then realization hits me as I realize that he was the groom.
"Hello Mr.Williams" I greeted politely.
"Hello Ms.Turf. Call me Conner. Is everything on schedule considering the time?" He laughed softly.
I blushed naturally, for his laugh was sexy. Oh my god! Shut up I told my mind.
"Don't worry about it, it's cool" I replied.
Once the elevator door was open, I said bye and walked on ahead to the banquet hall, unaware of what I was about to find.
I know it was short too, but next chapter will be long!
