Emra stood with Tamastou, looking into the oak trees. "Have the faeries told you anything?" the ginger spotted tabby asked.
The black tom replied, "They remember no more than we do, it seems."
"And they no longer speak with me," Emra sighed.
Tamastou pressed against her, "Perhaps you just block them out?"
Emra looked at him in surprise, "You still want me to take up your offer, hm?"
He flicked an ear and licked his chest, "I wouldn't be opposed."
"I have kittens!" she exclaimed.
He purred, "And I'll love them as my own."
She shook her head, "This isn't even why we're here."
He looked away from her, "True. Shall we go deeper?"
She nodded, "We may as well.
