There's a bright light pouring in from my room. I look to my clock seeing it's only six in the morning. I roll back into bed only get back out from the smell of bacon. I rush down the stairs to see my mom in the kitchen with her robe on stirring the eggs.
"Mom!" I run over and hug her tightly. I've missed her more than I thought I would have. She jumps from the unexpected hug.
"Oh dear! Hi honey, did you sleep well?" She asks recovering from the surprise. I nod my head and take out the bacon from the oven.
"How was your trip?" We sit down to enjoy our breakfast and bond.
"It was nice, saw some wonderful scenery and I got you something. I'll show you when you get back home from school." I smile and nod taking a bite of food.
"So how are you and Harry?" She leans back in my chair and I nearly choke on my food. I would have never thought she would bring up this topic. I guess I was wrong.
"We're.... good." I drink my water to soothe my now dry throat. My mom reaches over the table grabbing my hands in hers and looking me dead in the eyes.
"I just want to let you know that people are always going to judge and not be completely satisfied. You don't need to listen to half of the things the media says. Your friends and family are very important and nothing will change that." I look at my encouraging mother with watery eyes. She told me what I've been wanting to hear for the past few weeks. She always knows what to say at the right time.
She engulfs me in her arms and rocks me back and forth. I let a few stray tears run down my cheeks. I wipe them off when we part.
"One last question, have you guys kissed yet?" She asks moving her eyebrows up and down. I laugh at her gesture and how interested she is about our relationship.
"Ha, um no I mean we kiss on the cheek and stuff but nothing major." I just shrug my shoulders. We finish the rest of our breakfast in silence and I put our plates in the sink to be washed later.
"I was thinking that I could drive you to school, if you don't mind. She asks getting her purse.
"Yeah let me just wash up and get dressed." I run up the stairs into my room and pick a pain T-shirt and some jeans. I wash my face and put deodorant on. It only took me a good ten minuets before I'm ready to go.
"Ready" I saw swinging my book bag on my back.
On the way she explains more about the trip. My mom explains in great detail on how someone came up on the set thinking it was an interview place. I'm so glad my mom's back because I miss hearing her voice because she's extremely busy with the type of job that she has.
"Here you go sweetie." She says stopping in front of the school. I thank her and jog up the stairs wanting to have to rush when everyone gets here.
Ever since I was little, my mom liked it when I was at least ten minuets early, so as I walk through the halls it's very quiet because no one is rushing to get from place to place.
I grab my books that I need for my classes I for the day.
I decide to walk around the school out of boredom and as I do so, my phone buzzes.
Harry: 'morning Izzy I have a surprise for you ;)'
My heart immediately starts to pound out of my chest. I rarely get surprises unless it's something my dad bought for me as a souvenir from his trips.
'I have a surprise for you too. :)' If you count as meeting my mom a surprise. Harry got along with my dad quite well so he should get along nicely with my mom.
