PoV: Vian
I was walking down the streets as I heard a girl crying for help. Someone was with her. I need to help her. I grabbed the next best thing in my way and ran towards the guy who was "threatening" her and slammed it on his head. He didn't die but he was paralyzed. That's enough time to grab her hand and- she's.. . An octoling... doesn't matter! I grabbed her wrist but.... she didn't run with me... her leg- it's bleeding!
A FEW MINUTES LATER
I took her to my home and bandaged her leg. Oh shoot I haven't even introduced myself
"I-i didn't even introduce myself yet... my name is Urchin. Vian urchin but you can call me vi-"
"Thanks urchin..."
I slightly smiled at her
"What's your name?"
No answer... did she forget her name? I touched her left shoulder still smiling
"*noise of pain*"
"Ah- s-sorry! Did that hurt?"
She shakes her head up and down, I guess that's a yes...
"But.. what is it that hurts so much?"
She pulls up her sleeve, I drop the scissors I was using to cut her band-aids... "10.008" is carved into her skin...
"Hey vian you're home again you didnt even-" marina comes into my room seeing the girl and her wounds. She runs to the girl with tears in her eyes.
"So they... did the same to you..."
"Marina? Whats going on?" Marina showed me her left shoulder "10.007" was carved into her skin...
"Who did this?"
"Vian, you wouldn't-"
"WHO DID THIS TO YOU?"
"I... can't tell... im so sorry... if I'd just... remember..."
"Its okay." I hug them both. We ended up as a crying mess, not knowing what to do.
