"We're sneaking into town tomorrow! And you're coming with us." Zero's eyes flickered in excitement, unable to contain his overflowing emotions.

"Why should I even follow the two of you?!"

"Because," Rose sighed as she rolled her eyes, "It's boring to just stay indoors all the time. If Mother can leave, so can we!"

"She is the Queen. We are her children. Clearly you can see the difference in status, right?"

"Yeah okay, but what you cannot see is not being a party pooper. Try and live for once, Lucian!" Zero said as he shook my entire body.

I raised a brow, not forgetting one important factor in this absurd plan of theirs.

"And what about not getting caught by her? Have you guys ever succeeded in that?"

"...Maybe?" Zero pouted as he crossed his arms across his chest, his eyes avoiding mine. I knew him too well.

"Whatever it is.. Let's just go out for awhile, enjoy ourselves and head back here before Mother returns!"

I could never say no to these two. Despite being the youngest member of the family, it felt like these two combined had a mental age that was younger than a toddler's. Their silly plans were often rebellious against the rules Mother had set for us.

I gave in to the twins, smiling weakly as I nodded in agreement. Their loud cheers warmed my heart slightly.

"We'll meet you in your room at the break of dawn!"

"Su– Wait what?! D-Dawn?! But that's–"

"Oh c'mon! We need the whole day to have fun, right Rosie?" Zero winked in my direction as he nudged his twin.

Rose responded with a 'yeap', popping the 'p'. I couldn't do anything about it. I had already agreed to tag along and go with their absurd plan.

Zero and Rose left the room in a heap of excitement, startling the handmaidens and guards walking past.

There was a loud clattering sound of something crashing to the floor, jolting me wide awake from my slumber.

I groaned loudly, noticing two shadowy figures squirming about in the corner of my room. I'm not having sleep paralysis... Are they ghosts?

Before I could even muster up a mere 'hello', a large piece of fabric was thrown in my face. "Hurry and wear the cloak, Lucian!"

Zero's eager voice was hard to not notice instantly.

"B-But I haven't even showered!"

"Who cares! It's not like we're going to show ourselves in public!" Rose began whisper-yelling.

I sighed in defeat as I reluctantly slipped on the velvet red cloak, pulling the large hoodie that thankfully concealed my bed hair completely. If the townspeople were to see the Third Prince's bed hair, it would certainly make headlines. And not in a good way.

The minute I finished mentally preparing myself, Zero and Rose each grabbed a hand of mine and pulled me with great strength. The sudden yanking force took me by surprise.

I could barely match my footsteps with theirs, which was a struggle as I almost tripped myself a couple times. "G-Guys.. slow down a bit! I can't keep up.."
