"Who in their right mind names a country New Orleans? And why does it have to be on the other side of the world?" complained the young model to her travel agent.
"Hayley, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity! They're looking for fresh blood for Fashion Week and your name was highly requested. You are a well-known model in all of California and did I mention you're the spinning image of Snow White? So why wouldn't they want you?"
"Because I'm only well-known in California, I'm not popular internationally."
"It could be a way for you to spread your wings into something worthwhile. Did I mention the prince organized this event?" Hayley could feel her agent smirking through the phone but shook off the comment.
"Sure he might have set this whole event up, but his advisers booked the models."
"He is the world's most smoking bachelor, how are you not drooling?"
"Because he is a prince, and I'm just a model. Call it a forbidden romance if that were to happen. There is a rule that states he must marry royalty, it's a long-lasting tradition going back centuries. Besides he's only known to be a bachelor. Who knows when this guy will finally settle down and actually take the throne."
"You've got a point there."
Silence fell between the two and all you could hear was the static buzzing coming from the cellphone. After a long period of stillness from either side, her travel agent broke through the unpleasant quietness.
"So what do you say Hayley, ready to expand those modeling wings outside of Cali?"
Hayley thought about it for a split second before responding.
"Of course! I could use a vacation anyways."
"Perfect! I already booked a flight, leaving in a few hours, I'll also send a taxi to your complex to pick you up. So happy you agreed to this, your career will become mainstream with this gig. Now go start packing! Toodles!"
With that Hayley's agent hung up the phone, leaving her in her very unorganized apartment complex looking for her suitcase to catch her flight to New Orleans.
