Part 1- The Crash

"Frick," I mutter to myself as I push my car to go faster. There had been a huge snowstorm last night giving us a whopping 16 inches, knocking out my alarm clock therefore rendering it unless and putting me in this situation, 45 minuets late for school. I probably should have tried to convince my mom to give my phone back harder.

 Flashback to last night:

" 'Adelaide'  mom shouts from down stairs

'What mom?'

'Come down here I want to talk to you!'

I come down the stairs a little bit worried about what she wants to  me about  it can't possibly be the fact that I got detention again for the 3rd time this week right? I mumble about how I thought I told the principal to stop calling my mom about these things. I guess my excuse about my mom being a undercover secret agent for  the president and how her mission is so confidential  I am not even aloud her number didn't work. I come around the corner a little sheepishly. There are very  little things in this world that scare me but my mom is defiantly one of them.

When I come around the corner and see her 5 foot 7 frame trembling in anger I silently cuss out my principal, plotting all the ways I can kill him in my Dreams. I definitely got my height from my mom. I am nothing special with a 5 ' 5 " frame, dull green eyes, and almost waist length hair, that can't decide if it would rather be blond or brown. I come out of my inner musings with my mom yelling  in my face.

'Adelaide, ADELAIDE. Are you even listening to me young lady, is there a reason I got a  call from you principal today telling me that today is the third time this WEEK you have been in detention! What are you doing to your  poor teachers  for them to continually give you detention.'

'But Mom I-'  I got cut off by her continued rant.

'I don't care young lady give me your phone then you can explain your self to me.'  I wordlessly handed over my phone to her  knowing better that to argue with her  considering the last time I did  I got it taken away for a month. I got held back a year in kindergarten  putting me at the ripe ol' age of 19  and even though I am technically an adult I  still live under my mother's roof  which means, her roof her rules, stupid I know.

'Now what did you do this time?' she asks with her hand propped on her hip it is not technically my  fault I am so sarcastic I had to get it from somewhere.

'Today, in math class and we had a sub so I politely raised my hand', she snorted at that, I continued talking, ignoring her 'and  asked to go to the bathroom and the stuck up lady said "Well can you?"  To that  I responded saying  in my usual sarcastic response "Well can you get a real job?"  Long story, short she did not like that at all.'

By the end of my story my mom was smirking and told me to get to bed under the pretense that  I have unbelievable behavior and that I had school tomorrow.

I grumbled the entire way back up the stairs."

End of  Flashback

"At least the plows have already made it thought these parts." I say to myself, my horrible habit of speaking my thoughts coming out. Obviously I get in trouble with authoritative figures  a lot if you can even count a sub as one.  I was still cussing out my math teacher in my head for eating dinner at a sketchy fast food place and getting food poisoning.

I glance at the red numbers on my dash and grumble under my breath looking a the road. I catch a glimpse of something out of the corner of my eye running in the woods beside my car looking distinctly human. Suddenly, I hit the black ice and my car is off the road rolling before I can do a damn thing about it. It rolls, all the windows shatter, the driver side door gets smashed in, and my poor car gets stuck in between two trees halting the movement of everything but denting the car roof right above my head.

The first thing I feel is a sharp stab of pain that goes through the thigh on my left leg, making it so I can't feel anything below it. Come on Adelaide pull it together, your leg is still there.  The next most notable pain is in my shoulder running down the length of my arm, I must of hit one of the nerves there I think to myself preparing my self to look to see. When I finally do I do a double take, blinking a couple of times to make sure I am seeing this correctly. There is a huge shard of glass sticking out of the top of my arm, there is way to much blood gushing out of the wound to be considered healthy.

"That can NOT be good for me." I say to myself as I continue to take inventory of the rest of my body, besides a smattering of cuts running from my hands all the way up my arms and a killer head ache I think everything else is okay.

I glance in my side mirror hoping that someone saw my crash, but no such luck when all I see is a really tall not human looking figure rushing towards me. WAIT! What in the ever loving heck is that. I start to get really worried, I try to dislodge my body from my car but to no such luck. I don't get a better look at the creature as he, she, I don't know what to call it punches me across the face, making my vision blur and darkness spread in the corners of my vision.

"What in the ever-loving fuc--" but that is as far as I get before I black out completely.
