I grab my phone and look to see texts from Riles, taking me by surprise.

I immediately text back. "Sorry I was gone at a meeting"
She responds.. "no it's okay, i just miss you☹️"
"I miss you too, Riles, and I got your text. Fuck I wish I could do those things to you, but you're off in the fucking wilderness in the middle of nowhere" I reply.
"i know, i'm sorry baby :( but im going ice skating!! im so excited!!" she says.
My eyes widen.

"No the fuck you're not! You're pregnant for fucks sake! You shouldn't even be there!" I groan.

I turn back to my phone.
"And I wanna be inside of you. Can I just take the private jet and come get you?" I ask.
