As on most days Corri started her journey to school in the morning with a friendly chat with her fellow bus mates. And today she had a treat of a story.

"Hale, Veta, I gotta tell you something" She announced as the curly haired lovelies took their respective seats.

Brad looked in Corri's direction wonderingly while Hale's head snapped up immediately, eager to hear something spill from his friend's lips.

"Brad, it's the same story I just told you."

"Oh, okay" he answered gazing back at his phone for more memes.

Veta smirked in Corri's direction sense of mischief filling up the back of the bus where the four friends sat.

"So over the weekend my dad and I went to Safeway and there was this cutie of a bag boy" Corri started.

Brad chuckled as he already knew the story.

"What'd he look like?" asked Veta "Maybe I've seen him before."

"He had like white blond hair and the most intense blue eyes I've ever seen."

"So what happened?"

Well, we got all the stuff right, and we get up to the counter and the cashier starts scanning things. My dad knows the cashier so they're just chattin' and every thing. I pushed the cart up so that the bag boy could put the groceries in the cart and as I look at him I see how cute he is and immediately looked down at my shoes. Then the cashier scans the energy drink and asks 'Do you want this left out?'and I'm like 'yeah, please' and he hands it to me. Then he was like 'See I knew it'. Next thing I know the bag boy grabbed the candy he just bagged out and was like "So you probably want this left out too". I made eye contact with him and said ' Yeah, thanks' then immediately looked back down at my shoes." Corri explained laughing all  the while

"Aww , it's just like some nervous anime girl, hehe." Hale joked.

"Then the cashier looks down at my shoes and tells me 'Nice shoes I used to have a pair of those" and the bag boy was like 'Yeah I bet you had a boom box and something else too."

The four friends smiled and giggled.

"The good ol' boom box days" said Veta with an older man accent.

"Yesh, so we pay for it and leave and as soon as we step outside I told my dad 'that bag boy was so hot'."

Veta immediately started laughing as the rest of us joined in slowly. The bus turned as we started on the road that leads directly to our school.

"What did he say?" Veta says, heaving for air.

"He just chuckled I think he was planning something beforehand." Corri laughed. "That's not even the best part though."

"Really?" Hale asked, "How can telling your father that some random boy was extremely hot not be the best part?"

"Okay so we get to car and my dad picks up the Mountain Dew and asked me if we paid for it and I'm like 'I dunno look at the receipt' so my dad tells me we got to go back in and pay for it."

Veta and Hale begin chuckling again.

"So did you?" Veta asked.

"Heck nah, I told my dad that there was no way I was going back in there cause the bag boy was too cute."

Veta and the other two boys started cackling.

"And then?" Hale prompted as he wiped a tear away.

"This is the best part." Brad murmured.

"My dad went back in and I got in the car then when he came back he told me that the bag boy asked if I was his daughter. My dad, of course, was like 'Yes, she is'. And then the bag boy asked where I was and my dad told him that I stayed out in the car because I thought he was too good lookin'."

The bus was then filled with the howling laughter of the two seniors and two juniors. The bus driver glared at them through the rear view mirror and the other school bus occupants stared at the back of the bus curiously.

"Hale, shuddup" yelled Hale's younger sister.

Hale who had finally managed to calm down flipped her off and sighed in unison with Veta. Corri smiled and began to speak again.

"My dad also said the bag boy turned bright red."

There was few more chuckles and then the bus pulled into the back of the school like always and the spell of a cheery morning chat washed away as the four high school students were faced with the prison they had to return to each day. As they moved single file off the bus, Corri thought about the sparkle in the bag boy's eyes and her heart sunk with a sudden realization.

"Too bad I'll probably never see him again." She told her friends.

"Don't you, like, shop at Safeway all the time?" Veta asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Yeah, but-"

"Then there you go. You'll most likely see him again." Veta told her firmly "In fact, look him up on social media."

They stepped off the bus and headed into the school.

"I don't know his name" Corri replied

"You didn't look at his name tag?" Hale asked confused.

'Nooo, I was looking at my shoes'' Corri lamented.

"Well then, hun," Veta clapped Corri on the shoulder, "It'll be just a dream for you to think of each night."

With that Veta swished off to her locker to grab and put away her things. Hale then placed her hand on the shoulder Veta had clapped getting Corri's attention.

"Dreams do come true if you believe." Hale said with naive hope filling his voice and a smile gracing his lips.

"Yeah," Corri murmured back.

"Maybe."
