Off The Beaten Path

As I walk to my gym class with an urking feeling in my stomach, Dallas walked by, without even caring and stopped me.

Dallas: Hey have you heard about--?
Ryan: Heard about what
Dallas: There's a rumor going around that you like Hannah, like really like her, and she wants to talk to you about.......that?
As he said that with a slight cringe in his voice I knew that it was going to go really badly, like there would be a near corpse to clean up afterwards, but after gym class, was lunch so I thought that would be the perfect time to meet but I wasnt sure so I asked Dallas.
Ryan: so when does she want to meet up?
Dalllas:..........................Now
As we both stared at each other we sprinted to the bathroom so a teacher wouldn't see us skipping class and we nearly got caught............multiple times in fact and everytime we had to make up a new story about why we were out of class.
Ryan: Oh Mrs. Loganson wanted us to get some papers for the substitute today and we totally forgot so we are getting them heh heh
As the principal looked at us with that look that only principles give you when they dont believe you
Mr. Anderson: Fine, I expect you to be no later to your classes, okay?
We nodded our heads and walked away breathing insanely heavy. We walked out of the door and outside to the break area for the students at lunch, we saw Hannah and she gave the prettiest smile I have ever seen.
Dallas: go on dude get rejected already so we wont get detention
He said that with a firm and the upmost confidence in what he said and I just nudged him away and went to talk to her and as I sat down the first thing I heard come out of her mouth is............
Hannah: I......like you too
