rosey nearly smacked her ears, leaving them faintly ringing, with her quick action to cover them due to the loud screams emitted throughout the room. the maknae line. a very loud, yet adorable bunch that just insisted on getting together and turning on a vlive to get all of them through the grueling process of packing their large suitcases for their trip to japan. in their heads, the funniest thing ever to them, it made sense to make the fans suffer through the process with them.
rosey grew up in osaka, japan, returning back to her homeland only twice in three years since she moved to south korea to continue her career. this time, however, it was even more special. she'd be returning with her members, her newly found second family. the idea of showing them the places she grew up in and sharing pieces of her childhood made her heart swell. she glanced at the chat, smiling softly at the messages pouring in.
"rosey's going home!" one fan wrote, accompanied by a string of butterfly emojis. it warmed her heart to see how much the fans understood her.
rosey sat between jisung and felix, two of the members which she shared very close birthdays with. when ever all three of them were any where close to each other, fans loved to dub them as the "triplets" due to their back-to-back birthdays. rosey was comfortable between them. she had whispered conversations with felix and looked at the very energetic jisung with confusion.
jisung stood to his feet, "okay, shall we start packing?"
the entire younger line yelled out in unison, causing the once calm room to erupt into complete chaos. jeongin, in the middle, snatched his folded shirts from seungmin to share each with the viewers. felix attempted to calmly show off what he had already packed, but his efforts went unnoticed by everyone except rosey, who intently listened as he pulled items from his black bag. seungmin and hyunjin, both sat on the far end, were engrossed in their phones until jisung returned with his penguin pajamas, instantly capturing everyone's attention.
"you're bringing that with you?" rosey asked, her eyes following his face as he joined the group on the hardwood floor again.
"yeah," jisung nodded with a nervous laugh falling from his lips despite his efforts to hold it back. he then reached behind him, in hopes to change the subject quickly, and tossed a soft plushie into rosey's crossed legs. "and you almost forgot this."
rosey immediately reached for the yellow plush and tightened her fingers around the fabric to pull it close to her chest. she hugged it tight. it was her favorite plushie. ever! rosey had it since she was eight years old, given to her by her mother on her birthday. she never let it go since, never leaving it behind. it had traveled with her everywhere, when she moved to south korea or when she took a trip that meant she would be staying anywhere other than the comfort of her own bed. . . there it was. the plushie was always tucked away in a bag or her trusty suitcase.
