Running. My heart was pounding. The ground was slick and the rain plastered my hair to my head. Fear. I felt nothing but fear. I was alone. I got separated. They were gone. I lost Carl. My foot got caught on a root and I shrieked and flew down a hill. My gun went off and I slammed into trees before stopping. I lie there on the ground and then walkers come out of the trees. I grab my gun and start shooting them down. I'm weak. I can barely move. I hit my head so I'm slowly running out of consciousness. Then my gun clicks. Out of ammo. My heart stops and tears begin rolling down my cheeks. Three walkers are coming toward me. I'm out of ammo, and losing consciousness and I'm alone. A sob breaks through my lips and I close my eyes and breathe in and picture my mom in my head. 'I'm coming mama.' I think sadly as another sob escapes me. Then I wait. I wait for it to happen. A loud crack breaks through the sound of the rain and then two more follow. My eyes fly open and I see Carl standing there with the walkers dead at his feet.

"Holy god...Chelsea." He ran over to me and I felt myself getting dizzy. He picked up my gun and put it in his belt and then threw my backpack over his shoulder with his. He bent down and scooped me up and I cried out at the excrutiating pain in my thigh. The rain poured down harder and I buried my face in his chest and started crying. The pain was fierce in my thigh and I cried harder. He was running and I was slipping. I blacked out. When I came to again I was sitting against a concrete wall and he was ripping my jeans. I smiled slightly.

"Woah there." His head snapped up his worried blue eyes meeting mine. I leaned my head against the wall.

"I thought you were dead." His voice cracked and I saw a tear slip down his cheek. He quickly wiped it away and returned to ripping my jeans until he was able to pull them off me. I looked at the glass sticking out of my leg and swallowed hard.

"Oh my god." I breathed. He took off his sweatshirt and handed it to me.

"You're going to have to bite down on this. And close your eyes." He instructed. I nodded and bit down hard and squeezed my eyes shut. Then I felt his knife dig into the wound to get under the glass  and I screamed. It was muffled but I screamed hard. My fists clenched and tears began running down my cheeks. He shifted and I screamed again. It was agonizing, my heart was pounding and I felt like my leg was on fire. My breathing was hard and fast and then he had the glass out. He put pressure on my leg to stop the bleeding and he pulled the kit from his bag and wrapped my leg the best he could then he handed me a pair of my ripped jeans. I took out the sweatshirt from my mouth and looked at him.

"You do realize you are going to have to help me into those right?" I said hoarsely. I felt myself losing consciousness and black spots clouded my vison.

"Chelsea..." His voice swam in my head and I felt like I was underwater. I saw the world tip and I could tell that he was shouting but I couldn't make out what he was saying. And then the world clicked off like a power outage. And I felt like I was falling. And nothing could catch me.

Carl POV

Her head rolled to the side and then she fell to the side.

"CHELSEA." I shouted and she went still. "No no no..." I checked her pulse, it was beating normal. Too much bloodloss. Shit. I shook her. "Come on please." I begged as thunder boomed overhead. I had found an empty warehouse and brought her here and locked up the place. I pulled her unconscious body toward mine and hugged her to my chest and buried my face in her neck. "Don't leave me." I whispered. I closed my eyes and let sleep take me.

When I opened my eyes I was on my side and Chelsea was where she had been yesterday. I sat up and rubbed the sleep from my eyes. I picked up her jeans and carefully pulled them up her legs. I smiled a little at her seat belt buckle belt. I buttoned her jeans and then buckled her belt and I put my hat next to her head. I stood up and picked up my backpack.
