i woke up at around 2:30 pm and groggily walked over to my bathroom. i went to grab my phone out of the charging station in the hall but i decided against it. no one texts me anyway.
after i took a shower, i went back into my room and opened my closet. i pulled out a pair of black skinny jeans and my dark grey, too-big-for-my-body t shirt. i slipped on my sandals after I rolled up my jeans. I ruffled my hair a few times and decided to fishtail it to get some waves.
i walked down the hall and grabbed my phone, purse, and keys and drove to the country club that i work at. living on Martha's island isn't really that great if you're a local. it's a bunch of rich people with rich kids and if you're not rich then no one really cares, much less knows who you are.
i parked in the back parking lot and walked through the employee hall to drop off my stuff and clock in.
i walked to the valet area and gave the boys a hug.
"those jeans look good on you" Parker whispered in my ear as i pulled away. he winked at me and I blushed.
"I'll be inside at the host desk if you need anything." I told them all as I walk back inside.
the girl that is there nods and grabs her stuff. she doesn't communicate with anyone.
a couple with three kids walk in. "hi, how many?" I ask.
the little boy says five and the mom smiles. "five." as if to reassure him.
i grab two menus and three kids menus and walk them to their table.
when i walk back to the desk, my boss is there talking to one of the boys i go to school with. wavy sandy blonde hair and very tan skin, perfect smile. AKA, the guys that never go for the girls like me.
"do you need a table?" i ask them.
"no, I'm just leaving." the boy says. I don't know his name because the two social groups don't really mix together at the high.
when my shift ends, i walk back to the pool to meet parker. he works two positions on four different shifts.
"hey park." I say.
he looks over and nods to me.
"just wanted to say I'm about to leave. if you see of another opening shift as caddy or lifeguard, lemme know cause I can do both."
"will do." he says briefly.
i don't even say bye. I can tell he has something stuck up his ass. it's probably his own dick. he's so temperamental and it gets me so mad because all I am is nice to him.
I walk to my locker and get my stuff out so I can go home. I check my phone and I have an a new text from an unfamiliar number.
I delete it and ignore it. I really don't care who it's from or what they have to say.
I called my best friend, Cassidy, and told her to meet me at black dog so we could get something to eat and catch up before school started.
she said she was busy so I rode down by the water front until I reached the lighthouse spot. I grabbed my sandy beach towel from the trunk and walked to the shore. I sat down on my towel and listened to the waves and watched the sun go down.
I heard a car door shut and someone sat about ten yards away from me. i sat there watching the sunset go down for another twenty minutes and then left to go home. well, really to my boyfriends house but it's all the same thing, right?
i pulled up and ran inside because it was raining. whenever i got inside, i walked straight to his room and walked right in. i found him and a girl i didn't recognize feeling each other up and making out.
