I lose hope finding the
Old me

Hi my name is Hyacinth Mae Rivera or you could call me Mae for short I am 15 years old, i think i am an average teenage girl cause I have a beautiful long wavy brown hair and blue eyes also i have a little bit of curves in my body and tomorrow is my 16th birthday. I am so excited that I  can't sleep.

I wass walking in the hallway going to my locker when one of my friends surprise me
By throwing a paper that says Happy 15th birthday Mae. And at lunch they sang me a happy birthday song and gave me a cake.

I was walking towards home with a smile when I opened the front door I was surprised by my whole family everyone was there. I thought that they will not celebrate my birthday even my friends are their. I was so happy. Even my  Six years old baby sister Lizzy gave me an drawing and chocolate.

When the party is finished my  dad told me that he won a lottery and from that night everything changed when I got to school I became a popular everyone wanted to be  my  friend  even  Althea   the   school b*tch and because of that I got many friends
And my old friends always tell me that most of them only want my money and they only want to destroy me but I didn't listen until me and my old friends got a big argument told me that I was starting to be a b*tch and that's the day when I end our friendship.

Later that night I was crying very hard I didn't even get to eat dinner. I was so heartbroken because they were my best friends since kindergarten. We have been through a lot of memories but now it's gone.

3 months past, and now my parents are starting to argue about dads business  because he always come home between 12 a.m. to 3 a.m. almost two months straight  and my mother is starting to get suspicious but everytime mother ask it always lead to an argument and my sister will always sleep in my bed it went like that for two months until  my dad did not went home and mom started drinking and taking drugs and everytime I get home mom will abuse my sister and I will always have to calm down my sister and everytime she got herself a bruise or cut I was the only one who will treat it. I became my sister's best friend and we grew so much closer together and we became each other's foundation .

My mother always  shout at the door every morning telling me to cook breakfast and do the laundry and every Saturday night me and my sister will have bonding night,  I love my sister so much because we only have each other in this world.

Today is my sister 7 birthday  and tonight I  am going to celebrate it with her so I bought her favorite Dunkin Donuts  and spaghetti,I was so excited to see her happy face while eating the donuts. But my smile drop when I saw my mom holding a knife ready to kill my sister,  I run to my sister and instead of her the knife hit my waist.My sister was crying nonstop and called our neighbors and moments later I  black out.

My head is spinning, I think I have an headache, I opened my eyes and  quickly blinded by the light , I saw a white wall and I was wearing an hospital gown, i was confused until I saw my sister sleeping in the sofa then it click, now i remember my psychopath mother almost killed my sister. I look around the room and  spot a wall clock.
I looked in  the  clock  and  it's  already  9:52 p.m.

"Mae you awake".- I was  startled when  my  sister  said that. Omg i am so happy that she is ok.

"Oh lizzy" .- i said while she was running towards me. Hugging me super tight.

" I miss you big sis you were out for today's straight ."- lizzy said while crying.

"Really  you missed me".- I said while she cried harder .

"Oh lizzy  i was just joking pls dont cry".

"I thought I lost you mae,  I thought you left me  forever ". - she said

" I will never leave you alone in this world little sis".

"Promise ".- she said while sobbing

"Promise ".- i said while kissing the top of her head.

Lizzy told me that our mother is in a asylum. And that we are going to live to our grand parents house for a while because dad is still sorting some important things first. After I got out of the hospital me and my sister pack stuff and move in to our grand parents house. It was our first time going to our grand parents house because usually they are always the one who will come over to our house.  Finally after 2 hours of treveling we finally arrived at our new home  it was big house maybe it's a mansion because it's massive . We hug and greeted them with respect and talked about our situation a bit and then showed our room, my room has a queen size bed in the middle and there is two windows and there are two doors one for the bathroom and the other is for my walk in closet, my room has a light sky blue color .

Will my life changed here. Will i have an normal life here. I  hope me and my sister will have a peaceful  and happy life here.

It was 3 in the afternoon. Me and my sister are talking and laughing with our grand parents,  we were having fun. And next is my 17 birthday.

I was watching Netflix when i heard a knock in my bedroom door.

"Come in ."

"Mae we have to tell you some thing ".
Grandma said, she sounds weird.

"Ok "

"Good, let's go to the library ". Grandpa said in a serious tone.
