Hay all, sorry I haven't been around for so long, but summer was hell for me. My back has recently gone out though so I have lots of time to write.

I will be coming out with a new chapter every week or more. I hope you enjoy, and haters, the door is up and to the left

-Chapter 3-

“Liara! At least tell us where you’re going!” shouted Ashley after the asari doctor as she walked across the cargo bay of the Normandy to her personal shuttle, Shepherds alliance issue black cargo bag over her shoulder.

“I’m sorry Ashley, but I cannot.” Growled Liara, her voice tight with impatience from the crews continual badgering.

“Then I can’t let you go” said Ashley, unholstering her arc pistol and setting the tesla coil humming on low power.

Liara whirled on the human, biotic energy enfolding her in a glowing shield of cracking power.

“So it has come to this has it Ashely?” spat the doctor, spreading her arms wide as she challenged the alliance officer, “I know you’ve hated me since the first time Shepard brought me on board. So go on, take the shot, but if you do, I will rip you apart.”

Ashely lowered the pistol hesitantly, her finger still on the trigger.

“I don’t want to hurt you Liara; I’m trying to help you. Shepard wouldn’t let you fly off alone, and neither can we.”

“She’s right Liara,” said Garrus from his perch atop a storage bin, his ever present M-98 Widow gleaming in his lap, “You’re not thinking straight on this Liara. Why don’t we head up to the rec and talk it over. Maybe grab a glass of cana and whatever slop Gardiners got burning in the mess.”

“They right kid,” said Zeaeed, his hardhearted demeanor unraveled by Liara’s outburst, “Why don’t cha listen ta the chief. Shepherds gone and ya can’t change that.”

“You… ALL OF YOU! After all that Alicia has done for you and you’re just going to give up on her?” Liara hissed, biotics flaring up around her like blue witch fire.

“Listen Liara, we all miss Shepherd,” cooed Garrus, “But that doesn’t change the fact, she’s gone…”

“DAMN YOU! DAMN YOU!!!” screeched Liara, thrusting her hand out and sending the storage crate, with Garrus still perched atop it, hurtling backwards across the cargo bay. The turian, unprepared for the assault, jumped from the bin moments before it crashed into the side of the Normandy, the three ton steel container crushing like a tin can and sending thermo clips scattering across the cargo bay.

Ashely’s pistol was back up in an instant, instinctually dropping to a crouch to avoid the warp charge that exploded over her head. “Stop this Liara! This is crazy!”

“I WON’T GIVE UP ON HER! AND IF YOU WON’T HELP ME THEN STAY OUT OF MY WAY BITCH!”

With that Liara turned away from the shocked crew of the Normandy, picking up Shepherds alliance bag and making her way across the cargo bay to her shuttle. Ashely kept her arc pistol trained on the retreating asari a moment, then lowered it, signaling the others to lower their weapons as well.

“Let her go, we can’t help her.” Said Ashely, surprised to find that she was actually sad to watch Liara leave them. But as she watched the asari board the slick black Shadow Broker shuttle, she noticed that the once compassionate doctor didn’t look back, her back straight as she left her friends standing in the torn up cargo bay.

“Be safe Liara T’soni. Be safe.” whispered Ashely as she watched the Shadow Broker shuttle drop from its birth and fly into the void.
