Wednesday August 3rd

I woke up with the worst headache I've EVER had. It took me a few minutes to regain the memories I had from last night, and realize where I was. My mouth was so dry. I really needed a glass of water, but I didn't have energy to get up and get some. I looked over my shoulder and I saw something. More like, someone. Luke was laying down right next to me, and he was completely asleep. Well, we were the most fucked up people at the club yesterday.

For some reason, knowing that Luke and I slept in the same bed all night and I had no idea, made me very nervous and anxious, so I had to distract myself. I tried to remember last night. What  happened? Who was there? Did I do anything stupid? And then I had the great idea of taking out my phone.

Thank god drugged me left it charging all night and not far from the bed, so I didn't have to be careful of not waking Luke up. I got it and went through the library... nothing. So, I checked my Snapchat stories. I usually post everything there. I saw a video, so I grabbed my headphones which were on the floor next to the bed. It was a video of me and Luke, (which I assume that guy "Mark", filmed) dancing and singing together to "Sk8er boy" by Avril Lavigne. That was so random! I didn't understand why on earth I would do that. I remember feeling like shit, so why was I dancing. And I could hear Mark laughing at us from behind the camera... great.

Avril was always a hero of mine. Ever since I found out what music taste was, and I started listening to my own music and not my parents', I fell in love with her. I still know to this day ALL of her songs.  She really inspired me to be who I am today, so I guess it's not much surprising I decided to sing her song yesterday. I do find it quite weird that Luke knew all of the lyrics as well, even if that's her most famous song. He sang quite well too. This guy keeps on surprising me.

I put my phone down and I start thinking of my freshman year in NYC. I remember Jason and Saria (Scented candles collector). I remember us singing rock bands, Avril Lavigne and rap songs on maximum volume, completely ignoring the world around us. I can't really remember last night, but I think that's how it felt. I needed that. But, he's still no Jason, and Tye is no Saria. I remember the exact place we would always hang out in. The hill in Central Park, with the small bench which was always empty. We would spend everyday there, and I remember once some small kids were sitting there and Jason decided to scare them away from out seat, and even though I felt bad for the kids, it was hilarious.

Suddenly I see a very bright light. My curtains were open, my room looked cleaner, and Luke.... was not next to me anymore. I was alone. I looked at the clock and it was 10:30. Breakfast was over, which didn't really bother me, cause I wanted some fries anyways. I got up, made my side of the bed, and I noticed that Luke didn't just clean his side and pick up his stuff... He cleaned my room. My books that I hadn't set a place for yet, were beautifully arranged on my desk, and my purse and headphones were also placed somewhere where they looked decent.

As soon as I stepped out the door, I saw Megan with her usual white sunglasses. I really don't understand it, we're indoors. I see her greet a red haired girl and a blond one. They both looked so much alike except for the hair. Like clones. They walked past Megan like she was nothing, and continued going downstairs (and how I understand it, they plan going all the way from their floor to the first floor... that's a lot of stairs). I hadn't realized I was staring until Megan took off her sunglasses and gave me a really nasty look, just to call the elevator and leaving right after. Suddenly I heard a English voice behind me, I was surprised to see Briar standing there, when her room was right in front of me and I never saw her leave.

- So, I don't know what you guys were up to yesterday night, but you certainly went over a line. You woke me up and made a fuss. Almost the whole 8th floor was here too!

- Listen, I remember absolutely nothing and I don't even know who lives in the 8th floor, but seeing as here we are 6, there can't be many in the 8th. - Shocking how she let me finish my sentence.

- You don't need to know or remember, just know it's filled with the most annoying people in this institute. - She looked fired up. - They're bloody wankers. - And now I had to keep myself from laughing cause that was so bloody English.

She was silent for a moment, not even looking me in the eye anymore. - Do you want to get out of here?

- What? - What?

- Oh you heard me. It's a Wednesday during summer, and I am not planning on spending it here in my room. Let's get lunch.

- It's 11 am.

- Well then Brunch then.

She pulled me all the way to the elevator, and we went out to the city, to the nearest fast food place there is. Wendy's.

I didn't have much money on me, so I ordered a small cheap menu, while Briar went all out with a.... salad. Well, at least I got to eat fries. She was really making conversation, asking about my mom, and friends in NYC. I was very happy talking about Jason and Saria with someone. She didn't look like she actually cared, but whenever I'd ask her a question, she would dodge it somehow.

- What about your dad? Does he live with you or are you a result of a divorce like Luke.

That question took me off guard. I had no idea Luke's parents were divorce... well dang, I've only known him for 26 hours. I couldn't get myself to answer. Too personal, too disturbing... too much. But just as I thought  Briar was getting ideas about me not answering, someone came inside Wendy's, and saved my life... kind of. It was that guy Mark, and those two clone girls. To my surprise they also ordered a salad, while Mark ordered a full big menu. Briar was really staring at them, not very nicely. When the girl got their food, they came over to us.

- Hi fresh meat. Who are you? - They were obviously talking to me, well, it was the red head. I wasn't offended but I wasn't pleased either.

- She is a person, not meat. You're confusing it with what you're craving. - Briar snapped back defending me, which was nice and in some way, weird.

- Did anyone ask you Pommy? - at that moment I heard Briar whisper "Americunts". She looked back at me. - So are you mute or deaf? What's your damage?

- My name's Midna. I'm from New York.

- See? I told you! - Said the blond one. They clearly knew who I was, because once again, someone from this wonderful school stared up and down at me, before giving me a nasty look and leaving. Mark in all of this, got his food, and while passing by us, he gave me a sweet smile and a wink. I think that fixed my mood.

Briar was pretty upset, so we got our stuff and left over food and left. Instead of going back to the dorms, I followed Briar to the Santa Monica Pier. We went to Cove, where I saw Luke yesterday, and there they were, all of them, Tye, Luke, Megan and Ian, all sitting down in 2 different benches facing each other. Ian and Luke had their skateboards, the girls were just chilling. When we got there, Luke and Tye immediately looked at me, Luke giving me a smile, Tye with a weird worrying face. Luke invited us to sit down, but Tye just stood up, looked at me and said, "I have to talk to Midna real quick".

- Oh god. - I heard Megan say under her breath, but she was smiling.

Tye pulled me aside, a bit far from the group and the skaters.

- Listen, you know you can trust me right? - I suddenly felt guilty about a murder I didn't even know I committed, and I had to confess.

- Well, I guess so yeah. - I've known them... for a day...

- What happened last night with Luke? I know he slept in your room. You didn't do anything, did you? - Now I knew what it was. Tye had a crush on Luke. She couldn't be more obvious about it.

- Nothing happened. I woke up and he wasn't even there anymore. Besides, we both completely passed out last night. Why? - I didn't want to assume things, I wanted to hear her say it.

- Well, I believe you, so if I could trust you as well, that'd be nice. - I nodded, assuring her that I was not a gossiper. - I've had a crush on Luke ever since I met him last year.  So I just wanted to know.

- You have nothing to worry about.

We both smiled at each other and walked back to the group, where we had a few beers until sun down, when we went back to the dorms.

What am I gonna do now?
