The other day, I found a list in one of Al's books. It was his bucket list, something I had never seen before. On it only one thing was crossed out: Find the woman who completes me. I didn't cry for that, but for the rest of the list. They weren't trite, silly things like "Go bungee jumping" or "Eat caviar," but real, important things: "#6: do something I'm afraid of. #11: change someone's life for the better. #14: create something permanent."
When I was finished crying, I found a pen and, thinking of me, thinking of our baby, crossed off #11 and #14 for him. That much, he had done.
