At first, back in 2016 when they were just becoming even more known, this girl in my summer school told me about bts and i used to think "lol wth is she rambling about." She used to tell me that jimin was her favorite and she tried to make me interested, i used to tell her jimin was my favorite because he sounded like some anime character in a game i played. I finally listened to one of there songs "Not today" just so she stopped talking, i actually enjoyed it but only for like a month or so. Then came 2017 when they were even more popular..i liked them but didn't stan them till like the end of 2017, not today was the only song i knew till 2018. In 2018 i had rough times and i was in a bad state of mind. I hated myself and felt lowkey lost, until i accidentally heard a few more bts songs that kept popping up after i'd watch billie eilish and others. I quickly became emerged in bts "Blood Sweat and Tears" and "DNA" along with "Mic Drop" and "Fire." I started to love their music and i started looking back at their songs. I was still in some bad state of mind that'd come and go, than bts started the Love Yourself album. I started looking at the english translation and noticed that their songs had a ton of meaning to it, listening to their music and knowing the meaning, over time actually taught me to love myself again and i didn't feel as bad as i did before, i got into the fandom as well and became part of ARMY. BTS army fandom was so kind and sweet and extremely funny. They were like a huge international family that shared the same love and affection for bts just as i did. I watched bts speech at the mamas 2018 awards thing just yesterday and they shared heartbreaking but wonderful news, they thought of disbanding in the beginning of 2018. Hearing that one sentence made me cry so much, i was so heartbroken. After all bts and army been through, they were gonna break up, we had so many good memories but of course if bts wanted to disband army was all for it. Bts went through so much hardships, they've been through depression, they were sleep deprived, they pushed themselves to be better, they worked countless hours to give us amazing music and performances we'll never forget. BTS chose not to disband but chose to work for another 7 years and army was so grateful, i was so grateful. Their music cured me and if they disbanded i don't know what i'd do. Those seven idiots changed my life, from their dad jokes to their quirky laughs and their screams and the way they bug each other to the way they care for one another to the way they inspire the world by just being themselves to the way they inspire each individual to love themselves. BTS needs a long break, I purple bts and if you think their trash, your opinions don't matter because i love them and army loves them and bts loves themselves and their fandom as well so, so sorry to you but your opinions are trash and we don't care. 💜💜
