The vibrant yellow tape could be seen for miles away. The red and blue lights only added to the effect. A tear rolled down her face as she whispered "there dead"

It was a normal morning. The sun shone and the breeze was light. It was normal. Emma headed down stairs like always. But a pit was building in her stomach. Her mother laid on the sofa not knowing what planet she was on. Emma went in the kitchen and clicked the kettle on. As the water boiled her heart steadied. It reminded her of past memories making a smile creep on her face. She heard a crash coming from the front room making her heart stop momentarily. She looked down the hallway. Thoughts popped in her head like messages. Her brain was like a magnet grabbing the worst thoughts first. Apart of her wanted to just ignore it but her curiosity took the best of her. She walked down the hall. Every step making her heart rate ten times faster. She pushed the door open and...

There she was. Laying there. The glass bottle which was once in Emma's mothers grasp had made contact with the floor. Emma let out a breath she didn't know she was holding in. She glanced around the room. There was a range of bottles scattered around the room. Most of them had the liquid drained from them. Emma knew it was time to start her morning routine. She grabbed a black sack from the hazel oak wall unit.

Slowly, she put the range of glass bottles and cans in the bag. Suddenly, the door slammed shut making Emma drop the glass bottle slicing her skin in the process. "Shit" she yelled. Mentally slapping herself for shouting. The tall figure entered the room making Emma gulp. Her heart was trying to break out of her chest. Her mind was telling her to remain calm but how could she. It was him.
