Prolouge

"I'm sorry, did I bite you too hard?" the vampiress hovering above me sneered. Her golden curls and sparkling white fangs were splattered with fresh blood; blood from my neck. I groaned, attempting to roll my eyes, but I found I couldn't, my energy draining quickly. I don't know if I could live as the thing I have been hunting all of my life. These past seventeen years I had hunted vampires, werewolves, whiches, deamons, and anything else that poses a threat to the human race. It has been my family's destiny. If I were to become my prey, I would have to find a way to die. I couldn't live with myself in this form. The vampiress looming over me let a drop of blood hit right below my eye as she pushed herself away from me, letting the venom take it's hold- slowly, painfully. I writhered on the ground as I felt a shreik escape my lips as my back arched. The last thing my eyes saw was my creator, laughing above me, watching me change in pain.
