Complications

Carols P.O.V.

I'm vacuuming when I feel two hands touch my waist, I squeak and then turn around, it was Alexis giggling at my squeak; I look at her and say "That's not funny, you know I hate that."  I looked at her while guarding my sides, she giggled as she said: "But it's cute though, too old to be tickled much." Alexis started to do it again so we just kept tackling and tickling each other to the death when all of a sudden Danny walked in and he looked pissed;  I asked him what was wrong and he looked at me like I was some sort of prey or something like that. He then called Jake into the living room and said: "Carol you should sit down for this one." so, once everybody was sitting down Danny began to speak.

(For those of you who get emotional over very intense depressing/offending writing I suggest you skip at least a few paragraphs. if it looks like a bunch of TAKEN shit then ignore it I got writer's block)

He hesitated for a moment and finally said this: "Carol your brother texted me." I looked away at this point mainly because my brother was a drunk whore; Danny continued "He said this: Show this message to my bitch of a sister. Then he continued with: Dear Carol you little slut, I don't care where you are but I will say this: If you plan on running away with your wimpy boyfriend, don't, because I noticed this morning that all of your shit was missing from your room, even more, I also noticed that all of your hygiene crap,  all of your drawing shit, and more is gone. You finally decided to gather up your wimpy ass courage and move out, if you are with your god damn asshole boyfriend then I will find him and kill him then I'll find you and I swear to god I will lock you in the basement and let you starve to death, I will find you and I will beat you until you are black and blue, don't try calling the cops or anyone else cause guess what they'll never find where we live you little slutty ass whore." 

After a minute of silence, Danny started talking again "That's what he sent he sent me and my guess is you should leave as soon as possible and we'll come up for a few months and help you out with whatever you need then we'll leave and trust me we will visit you and Jake but for now you guys have to get as much done as possible here first, then you guys can leave and I know that I will be up there after a few days of you two being up there." I looked up and then I looked at Alexis and said: "Alexis will you be up there as well?" She responded saying: "Yes. I will tell Charlie and she and I will be up there ASAP, okay?" I nodded. 

After a few more minutes of silence, Jake got up and pulled a gun out of the front of his jeans put it to his head and was about to pull the trigger when I tackled him shouting "NO I CAN'T LET YOU, I NEED YOU, I LOVE YOU WAY TOO MUCH."  I didn't realize it, but after I shouted at him and tackled him to the ground, I realized that our lips were connected in a long deep kiss. Danny and Alexis were just staring at the sight astonished and all I could do was pull away and blush while staring into Jakes deep, dark hazel brown eyes. Before I could say anything, I decided instead of words, I just smacked my lips into his and feel around his mouth. I pulled away after a minute or two and got up to see Alexis and Danny blank-faced. Jake got up as well and then he fell face first on to the couch. Alex and Danny just kept staring with literally no emotion on their faces, I giggled and said: "Well I can't let him commit suicide, I had to do something about it." 

They just shook off the look on their face and went different ways, meanwhile, Jake got up and started moving stuff from Danny's truck into my car. I offered to help but, of course, he said no, mainly because he doesn't want me to overwork myself; he also said this to me: "Don't want you to overwork yourself because I have a surprise for you." I kept on wondering what he meant by "surprise" but all I could think of was like some sort of gift, like a proposal or something like that. I kept on thinking to the point where my head started to hurt so, I stopped thinking about it and decided to take a nap. 

I wake up a few hours later to see a sleeping Jake on top of my chest, for those of you who think I'm shorter than him, think again I'm taller than he is, Jake is about 5'4" and me well, I'm 5'7", 3 inches taller than Jake. I run my fingers through his hair in a caring sort of way, that was when he opened his eyes and looked over at me in a cute way to where I couldn't help but smile at him. I looked at his watch, 10:30 p.m., I looked at Jake and said: "Want to head to our apartment now?" He looked at me and responded with, "Hell yes! And while you were sleeping Alexis left, and Danny he's upstairs showering, I'll leave a note on the fridge, you go start the car, I'll be there in a minute or two." We did what he planned, he started writing and I went outside, got in my car and started it, after a few minutes of waiting for Jake, he finally Dived into the passenger seat of the car and I started to drive. 

After about a half hour of driving, we finally reached the apartment that we bought together. We decided to sleep in the car as it was already 11:00 p.m. I waited until Jake was asleep so I could start the car again and then I drove us to a secluded spot by a lake that was only a few miles away from the apartment complex. When I parked the car I stripped down into nothing and then I slid over to where Jake was and put a blanket over the both of us and drifted off to sleep. I woke up and I saw that Jake was carrying me up a set of stairs, then I realized he must have woken up before me and drove us back to the complex. 

He finally got to our apartment and set me down so he could unlock it, for a moment I thought I was naked but I realized I had a blanket around me. He finally unlocked the door and we walked inside. I almost fainted at how clean the whole place was. I walked around just to get a feel for the place and after exploring the rooms and everything me and Jake started imagining where we would put our stuff like the couch, tv, bed, and other items that we'd need. I was about to hug Jake when his phone buzzed, he looked down at it and went blank-faced. I asked him what happened and all he said was: "We have to go see Charlie, NOW!" I followed him out the door and when we were both in the car, he started driving.
