rosey was sitting in the living room of her group's dorm. she was sitting in the corner of the sofa, as usual. she was watching a show with seungmin that he liked, but she was just listening to it as background noise while she worked on some school papers.
rosey was now distracted from her work and staring blankly at the same age boy who had walked in through the front door. when the boy arrived, seungmin paused his show and jeongin even joined them in the living room.
jisung had dyed his hair at their company's request. it was dyed a dark blue for the upcoming award show, mama. it was such a different color from the rest of the group's dark hair colors. certainly one way to stand out in a crowd.
seungmin smiled at his new look, jeongin complimented his hair color, and rosey gave the boy a thumbs up as she sat silently looking at him. she was completely taken aback; she had no idea it was jisung until she got a good look at him.
"blue?" rosey asked, reaching out her hand to touch his hair as he sat beside the two youngest members of the 00' line.
his hair was no longer "fluffy," as she put it; it was soft, but not as soft as it had been. she couldn't put into words how his hair felt.
"yeah! you don't like it?" jisung began to ramble, "i didn't like the idea of blue hair when the staff asked me to dye it, i told them i would much rather have a darker color, but they wanted—"
"i like it!" rosey replied honestly, attempting to bring his rambling to a halt. she didn't want to make him think that choosing blue was a mistake.
rosey wasn't opposed to the new look; she was simply resistant to change. she would expect dyed hair and bright colors from another member, such as felix, but not from jisung. he looked good; she just didn't expect him to make such a drastic change.
rosey was aimlessly playing with the boy's new colored hair while jisung was on his phone scrolling through the group's instagram page. she was lost in her own world when she heard a voice next to her ear.
"you're doing it again," jeongin whispered.
"ah!" rosey replied, quickly removing her hand.
what could she say, the blue hair was intriguing. it stood out from everyone else's usual hair colors. the rest of the night, jeongin listened to her talk about it, rolling his eyes when she wasn't looking.
he enjoyed hearing her ramble, but why about jisung all night? he'd dye his hair a bright color just to hear rosey talk about him all night if he could.
"i think we get it, rosey, we really do!" jeongin spoke.
"i just like how it looks."
"i know!"
jeongin turned off the lights in the room. it was time to sleep and he didn't want to hear anything else about the blue-haired boy in the other room.
