She stares out at the world through a looking glass
Overshadowed and overwhelmed.
She sees a cruel, hateful, bigoted world.
She sees people being forced out from where they know, only to be forced back in.
She sees others being persecuted for being themselves, while people of a certain "attributes" can get away with much worse.
And above all, she sees the wealthy, rising through it all, as everyone else sinks beneath their waves.
And she thinks "If only..."
If only...people had the courage to rise up
If only...everyone wasn't so mean to one another
If only...people didn't judge one another because of miniscule differences
If only...
