They tell you to be yourself, but when you are different, they shun you
They tell you to use your creative spirit, but when they don't agree with what you do, they strive to dampen your fire
They are the true oxymorons of society, with more emphasis on -morons than -oxy
But, once your fire has been lit, there is no going back
Not when they tell you to stop
Not when they protest and begin to fight dirty
Not even when they scream and shout and holler and scare the living daylights out of you
Your fire cannot be dampened
And it never will be
