Over. It's done. I've started my mostly independant life. Primary school - done. Secondary school - done. College - completed. I don't know if I'm going to apply for university but for now, I'm done. The next step in my life is my gap year. I've worked my ass for the previous 3 years, I'm now 18 and prepared to explore the world with my best friends.
Hi, I'm Aurora and me and my friends, Saff and Lola, are about to leave the United Kingdom and live together for a year, cor maybe more dependant on how this goes. Lola has a plan in life, she wants to attended Uni so this is a proper gap year for her, but for me and Saff on the other hand, we had no idea what to do and hopefully this would help us.We walked out of our college doors one final time, and all sequelled with excitement, "you guys ready for the best adventure of our lives?!" Lola exclaimed.
"Shhhh Lola, we aren't meant to let many people know yet, not until all of our visas have been accepted and then we can shout it from the rooftops!" Saff responded. I stood there in awe of the huge decision we had all committed to; my visa had been accepted so I was fine but it was a group thing and nothing could separate us. Bunches of people walked past us as we huddled together sharing our excitement, I felt an extra person join our group as we talked subtlety about our trip."So what are you guys whispering about then!? Secrets? Gossip? Pray tell!" Delilah slided into our conversation, unwanted as ever. She always assumed that we liked her, constantly joining us when we were together, or even apart. It was obvious that she had used up all of her old friends to the point that she was aware that she wasn't liked by them. We tolerated her but recently it was becoming more irritating than ever.
"Oh it's nothing, Dee. Just private stuff..." I said, hoping that she would get the message.
"Ooh is it a surprise party for mwah?! As you all know it's my birthday in 3 months and 12 days and I'm ecstatic as always!" Delilah responded, keener than a kid who was about to handed a plate of cake.
"Shame really isn't it." I heard Saff mutter under her breath, I was fully aware what she was on about but Delilah wasn't too pleased with her remark, or impressed.
"Did you say something Saffron? Thought I heard you say something pointless." Dee started to cause drama as per usual, but Saff was too happy in her frame of mind to bite the bait.
"It's Saff now, only important, higher people call me Saffron, no one below me. Anyways, girls we should be getting gone. Don't have that much time left now do we?" Saff replied, slightly addressing our trip away without Delilah having a clue.
"Alright Huns, see you soon!" We heard Delilah call after us as we burst out with laughter.
"Alright Huns!" We mimicked, having no cares if she heard as we knew we wouldn't be seeing her for a while. As we each walked home, chatting away about our trip, we heard a phone go off. Saff had received an email, "guys, guys! It might be them about my visa! Hang on a second." We stopped walking as Saff logged onto her email and opened it. I tried to read her facial expressions to see if she was letting off any information. It stayed blank and we were all hesitating, unsure whether to say something. "I've got it! I've got it! 'Saffron Lewis, I am pleased to inform you that you have been allowed a working holiday visa in Australia. Hope you have a great time. If you would like to reapply at any point in the future, don't hesitate to do so.'" She read aloud, we all embraced each other, but Lola stood back sharply.
"That only leaves me, what happens if it doesn't come in time. We only have 10 days until we go..." Lola said, sadly. We knew that it was going to be harder for her to get her Visa as she was originally from America which left her in a trickier situation compared to Saff and I.
"Precisely, you have basically 9 day to get it. Keep calling them and asking for information and updates about it and all will be peachy!" I exclaimed, positively. "Don't worry about it, and if it does come a bit later, as your tickets are exchangeable, down to the clever thinking of myself, we can always alter our flight for a later date. Don't worry about it!"We all decided to go out that night to celebrate the end of college and partied. I was wearing a tight, short stripy black and white dress which highlighted my ass, my slim figure, and my non-existent boobs were there too. Lola was wearing a short, dark red dress that was low-cut tight top and loose from the waist. She had boobs so she could get away with it, but was lacking at the bum area. Saff on the other hand was the full package, boobs, bum and skinny. She was also wearing a tight, thigh high dres that was navy blue ombreing to white. We decided when we first became friends that we all provided something to the group so now we just laugh about it all. I do sometimes feel self conscious being around them though, but very rarely show it.
"TIME TO PARTY!!" Lola shouted as we entered the club, a time to have fun and enjoy ourselves whilst we are young.
