Summer is over, and right now, I'm heading to my new school. My hands are sweaty and slightly shaking. I'm nervous. I've been in a private school my whole life, one designated for rich people. My parents own hotels and restaurants all over the country so we're some of the richest families. In my old school we were like a family, we knew each others since kindergarten. After my junior year, I decided to go to a public school for my senior year. My parents were against the idea at first but I managed to convince them because the school has a pretty good reputation. The main reasons why I choose this high school are:
1. I heard there's hot guys.
2. They offer the best scholarships.
3. It's the famous high school in town.
4. They have various extra activities and clubs.
5. I love experiencing new things.
6. Did I mention hot guys?
"We're here Miss Elizabeth. " Carl, my personal driver, said waking me up from my reverie.
"Bye Carl." I opened the passenger's door and step out.
I watched as the car slowly fades away. I began pacing towards the school's entrance. On the marble on top of the entry was written in big gold letters "Hamilton Heights High School" I walked inside the building and a strange feeling formed inside my stomach. It surely is the weirdest experience of first days of school years in my whole life. All these faces are unfamiliar. I was unknown for them as well. It felt so alien because I used to be popular in my old school "St George Exclusive School". I was the volleyball team's captain and Head of the student's council. I had a lot of friends but only one best friend, his name is James. I miss him so much. While guys were greeting each others, girls were hugging each others and couples were kissing each others, I found myself standing there alone watching the masses of students talking and giggling. I was in my own world until I heard the startling noise of the bell. I started looking for my classroom. I spent over 5 minutes lost in the hallways. When I spotted room A12 I hurried running, suddenly I bumped into something hard I recognised as a built up chest. I didn't get to take a look at his face because he was already running in the opposite direction. I fixed my appearance and knocked the door. I opened it to find over 20 pairs of eyes looking at me. Way to make an entrance and earn lots of attention, I thought to myself. I stepped inside.
"uhm, sorry, I've been a little lost looking for the room" I said in a low voice.
"Oh, you must be the new student, come in, take a seat." The white bearded teacher said.
I sat on an empty chair at the back, behind a red haired girl. I turned my attention to the teacher, who was talking about the upcoming lessons, furniture, and first day stuff, I noted some informations down on my notebook.
"Hey, so you're the new girl." The red haired girl turned around facing me with a grinning face.
"Yeah, it's Liz' by the way." I answered smiling.
" Yeah, I know, Elizabeth Robinson. Daughter of the owners of Robinson hotels and resorts." she said
"How'd you know that?" I said frowning.
"Oh don't ask, She's Emma Walker the gossip girl. She knows everything about everyone." The blonde girl to my left said.
"Oh." was all I could say, my attempt on trying to blend in failed hard. I hated been treated as this snobbish girl who has everything underneath her feets.
"My name's Alison Greenford, nice to meet you Liz." The blonde said offering me a hand to shake which I took instantly.
"Very nice to meet you too Alison, and Emma." I said smiling widely.
"Me too, you can call me Em' ." she returned with a grin.

By lunch time, Emma, Alison and I were sitting in the canteen chatting.
" And there's the jocks and cheerleaders' table" Alison said taking a bite of her cheese burger.
"Ryan Charlton and his clingy girlfriend Marissa Claymont are the 'It Couple' he's team captain and she's the cheer captain."
"He's hot." I said staring at him.
"I know right. Half of the girls in the school have a crush on him. But he's an arrogant prick, he don't care about this school's chicks he usually meets his conquests at other school parties. Besides his girlfriend wouldn't let any girl come near him."
Emma said.
"I think she's obsessed with him, I actually don't quite understand their weird relationship." Alison furrowed her eyebrows.
"How's that?" I ask suddenly interested in their relationship. I avert my gaze to Ali' and Em' before he catches me staring. That would be so embarrassing.
"He cheats on her repeatedly but she's still sticking with him, and I heard she cheats on him too with college guys. I guess they're just holding the "It Couple" image, they're not that infatuated in each other." Emma explains.
"Typical" I answer and take a quick glance at their direction, he seems utterly annoyed while she looks so hypnotised by his biceps, touching it like she found her name tattooed on his upper arm.
"He doesn't look that bad in fact, I can seduce him and make him fall in my trap, I'm a professional in this case." I add thoughtfully.
"Well good luck with that just make sure you wear a bulletproof jacket." Alison chuckles
"Oh yeah you seem like a good threat to Marissa, I noticed that half of the guys in this room looking at you. With your good looks, perfect hair, and those stunning expensive clothes of yours she won't sit there arms crossed, you should be careful."
"What? I purposely tried to dress casually and put on some simple clothes." I said pouting, after all I think I will just stand out whatever I do
"Honey, I know a Dolce&Gabanna silky white blouse when I see it." Emma laughed and I groan.
This is going to be an eventful year for me.
