He is just another kid in the swarm of kids that fill the hallways at school.
But, there is one thing different about Devon. He can make me smile, laugh, blush, giggle even.
And that is what makes him absolutely terrifying. I can't like another guy, it just- no, it can't happen. My dad already thinks I am too feminine. Liking a guy would make him - at least - disown me.
Yet, I am so drawn to him.
Like a moth to a flame. As cliche as that sounds, it is so absolutley, heart-wrenchingly true.
Just getting my things from my locker is an experience.
"Hey, Jake." His smile made me want to jump into his arms.
I somehow planted my feet to the ground, "Hi...Devon." It is as simple as that. Him passing me by, giving me a smile that made my heart beat just over normal, and slipping my name from his lips.
He hardly knows me, yet he has found all of my weak spots.
