Say you're sorry
That face of an angel comes out just when you need it to.
As I paced back and forth all this time
Coz I honestly believe in you.

Holding on, the days drag on
Stupid girl, I should've known
I should've known.

Chapter 9

"I baked some cookies for you so you'll have something to eat when you get hungry on the road," Mom said as she put some chocolate chip cookies to a brown paper bag.

"You didn't have to, Mom," I said as I took a sip of my milk.

It was only seven in the morning but I was ready to leave and go back to Dallas.

"Dallas is only a three hour drive. I think I don't need some snacks on the way," I informed her.

Mom looked at me pointedly. "I know but you'll bring this anyways. Share them with your friends, if you want."

"OK," I said with a shrug as I finished my breakfast before putting my dish on the sink. "I'll probably go," I whispered with a sigh as I reached for my bag from the couch.

"OK," Mom replied, giving me the brown paper bag with a dozen or two of cookies inside it and Martha's keys.

Martha was my old car. I left her here when I moved to LA. I was actually quite surprised to know that it was still working. Apparently, Dad took care of her while I was gone, just like my room.

"Take care," Mom said as she walked me to the car. "Remember, you'll call everyday."

"Yes Mom," I replied with a small smile before giving her a hug. "I'll miss you. I love you."

"I love you too honey," she sniffed. "And I will miss you so much."

I hugged her tight before letting go. I looked at my teary-eyed mother with a small smile. This was harder than the first time I left this house. I kissed her cheek before hopping inside the car. I waved at her before pulling out of the driveway.

A tear fell from my eyes as I started driving in silence. I noticed that I'd been crying too much in the past few days. But right now was different. It was tears of joy. Joy that everything seemed to be perfect again.

"Sky!"

Before I could completely go out of the car, I was attacked with a hug, making me stumble. Good thing Martha was behind me to catch my fall or it wouldn't be a nice scene.

"God, I missed you so much," Aya exclaimed as she let go of me. "I'm so worried about you. You won't pick up your phone and Landon said something happened back at your home. He wouldn't tell me what exactly happened so that didn't help. So what really happened?"

"I'll tell you later," I replied as we started walking to her dressing room. I was just in time for lunch.

As soon as we entered her dressing room, the two Smiths caught my eyes. Both Liam and Landon were sitting on a couch opposite each other. They turned to us when they felt our presence.

Liam looked at me with a small smile. "Hey."

"Hey," I smiled back as I put the brown paper bag on the small table in front of him.

"Is this for me?" he asked with a smile as he took the bag from the table and looked at what was inside of it.

"No," I replied as I took a sit between Liam and Landon. Aya took the seat across from me. I looked at Liam as his smile turned into a disappointed frown. "Mom baked it for me but if you want, you can have some, I guess."
