I- Maia's Accident

Maia was Lauren's best friend ever since she is 3. They'd go to the park together, Watch the pigeons chirp and eat the little crumbs of bread the old man would toss on the pavement. Jump on the playground while laughing. Playing pranks on their parents who knew of their little plans. But then, Maia and Lauren turned 14. They got a little taste of the wild life and decided to go party with their friend Kyoko. 

Maia placed her arms on Lauren's shoulders as she embraced her into a dance. Ophélia Laurier laughed while the two friends pretended to slow dance. The music pumped into the speakers while the friends danced and had fun in the basement of Kyoko's summer house. There were only 20 people, but they all knew each other. Rose Mettlewood and her brother Caleb played chess on the table while everyone took a few sips of alcohol. They weren't anywhere near drunk but were surely not 100% stable. Maia was drinking Sprite mixed with cherry juice while Lauren took a break from dancing. Accidentally, she forgot of her allergy to grapes, which their juice was present in her drink. She started coughing while Lauren ran up to her, her eyes growing when she saw what Maia was drinking. "Maia! Someone call 911! She's deadly allergic to grapes!" she shouted. Lauren took Maia by the arms and ran up the stairs while Kyoto and their other friend Savy followed them, the police dispatcher on the phone. They ran outside while Lauren crossed the street to Maia so she could bring her to her house and get her parents to drive her to the hospital. But she didn't look to the side. A truck came pouncing to them at a speed of over 70 MPH. Lauren barely got hit while trying to protect Maia, who sadly, got hit. Ever since the incident, she's stuck in the hospital, paralyzed. The accident brought up more sicknesses causing Maia to be considered under critical conditions. She'd die soon. Everyone knew that.
