Chapter 1 - Surprise.

- Zoe's POV -

"Get your lazy ass up from your bed!" Andrea screamed. I groaned. "What the fuck Andrea? Can't you see I am sleeping?" Mei then came into the scene. "Dude, you have 18 minutes to get ready for school," My eyes widen as Mei points at the clock. "You better get ready, peasant." I scrambled out of my bed, snatching a red and black flannel, jeans, and - you know the rest.

I push Andrea and Mei out of my way and lock myself in the bathroom. I had a 4 minute shower and I slip my clothes on. I make my way out of the bathroom, seeing Mei, Andrea, Savannah, and Harmony sitting on the sofa, waiting for me. "Agh, skip breakfast. Let's go!" I quickly put my socks and shoes on, then I grab my backpack. We run to school since it's a few blocks away from our shared apartment.

Gladly, we arrived in time. We all have the same homeroom, except for Mei. I head to my seat and sigh. The moment I put my head down, the teacher came in the classroom. "Good morning class!" Mrs. Martinez said cheerfully. "Surprisingly, we have a new student today. Please come up!" A girl with beautiful features stood up from her seat in front of me and came in front of the classroom. "H-Hello." The blonde girl fidgets with the end of her long sleeves.

"My name is M-Megan Montgomery." Her smile caught my attention. It felt like I fell for it. "Alright Megan, please take a seat." She nodded, therefore she headed to her seat. "Okay, Everyone please take out your notes because you guys will have a Math test next week! " Mrs. Martinez looked at me. "Zoe,"

"Yes?" I replied.

"Do you mind sharing your notes with Megan? She's new here and-"

"I get it, Mrs. Martinez. I'll share my notes with her." The teacher smiled at my response. "Thank you." She headed back to her desk. "You guys can pick a partner to study with. Just don't be too loud." Mrs. Martinez said while her eyes were focusing on papers. Since I have to share my notes with Megan, we could be partners.

I stood up from my chair and head forward to Megan's desk. "Hey Megan." I smiled. She smiled back. "Since I have to share notes with you, do you mind being partners?" Megan looked away from my eyes. "Y-Yeah, that could work." I nodded as I pick up my chair and put it next to her desk. She flinched a bit, but I decided to shrug that away.

"-You are now dismissed." We all sigh in relief and packed our stuff. Andrea then came up to me and asked, "So hey, how's that new student?" I took a glance at Megan and looked at Andrea. "Nothing much, she's quiet." Mei then entered our classroom. "So like, I've heard that you have a new student, is it a girl?" Mei raised an eyebrow and I nod. "Oh I see, she's probably another hoe." She shrugged. I clenched my fists.
