Aren’t you Cold?
Tmape looked out over the slushy road they had been traveling on for a minute. The snow spread out and fell down a hill obscured by trees. Their snow filled weekend had just begun and yet both he and Panda had some home become distracted by the way back home. They had been dropped of and now… (hopefully) they would survive here until their ride came back. The cabin was plenty stocked and the fire plenty warm.
In fact the fire was only there for aesthetics really. The place had heating and electricity but it certainly made the log cabin feel rustic for all the modern attachments.
Panda rubbed his hands together and and blew a hot breath into his currently ungloved hands. This pulled Tmape out of his stupor. He turned to look at Panda, and giving the belongings he had brought for himself a quick shake, he pulled out the key and smiled “Shall we go into?”. Panda turned and, with a bobble of his mask, they went in.
Panda wondered if Tmape would be okay with the snow. Was he? He didn't know. He had literally never been this far from home in his life. He had seen forests but this… Panda had never seen this anywhere but books. It was scary but none of his fear decided to manifest in his body language.
The inside of the house was much calmer though. A cozy living room, obviously designed for a family, had different arm chairs and a couch surrounding the fireplace with a table you could smell hot chocolate at. A kitchen with an island and a nice fridge, they had known it would be partially stocked but he watched Tmape put some of their own food items in. He leaned on the island and waited for him to finish.
Tmape placed the last of the cheese in. They had brought entirely too much cheese. Miguel had given 'a panda’ worthy amount and Eun had huffed and handed them some as he wished them a good trip and good grilled cheese. He smiled and put the fruit in the corner and closed the door. He stood up straight and looked at Panda. “Let's check out the rooms!”.
He smiled and saw Panda brighten. He loved seeing Panda do that. It was simple to do most of the time but seeing Panda perk up like a dog who just noticed you through a glass door. Tmape made a move to reach the hall entrance but Panda's large stride and his excited nature just cut Tmape off. Tmape smiled and quickened himself. A master room for two and a room with separate beds for children were on each side of the hall but the end reached them in a bathroom. The bathroom was large a bath, large sink, and… Panda and Tmape both let out a secret breath as they saw there also was lavish shower.
Panda was amazed there could be a shower and a bath. Why wouldn't you need just one? He patted the toilet, he didn't know much about the quality of a bathroom but a sink and a shower? Wow.
Panda looked into the kids room. It was empty, it made sense since this was a place you rented. The bed sheets were made and Panda felt them. Tmape had gone to the master bedroom for some reason so Panda had a moment alone.
... would they share a room? Panda… didn't know, he was probably closer to Tmape's than he had been with anyone. He had shared a bed with Tmape before but… he look up at the ceiling. He… no they, had discussed their relationship before but he was still new to what he had with the other. Tmape returned to see Panda “I dropped our stuff in the other room! Looks really comfy in there!” he said cheerfully. Panda nodded, and went to see.
The bed was made and looked so comfy. Panda could see them both in their already laughing and cuddling. He clenched his fist. He would love to but was Tmape? He looked at Tmape and saw him also staring at the bed. Tmape pulled his eye away noticing Panda staring. He smiled and Panda ccocked his head to ask what he was thinking about. “I kinda want to take a nap already but we just got here so I'd feel guilty.” Panda nodded. Tmape noticed Panda's slow movements meaning? “Oh! Sorry not if you don't want to either!” He gave an apologetic smile.
