"Mrs. Foerstner, are you sure we aren't intruding? We could always just walk home. It's really no trouble..." Papyrus voiced up, only to be cut off by a waving hand from Adara as she opened the door.

"Nonsense! It's already late enough as it is! I'm already making ONE of my boys stay the night, not a chance I'm letting my other ones go all the way back to Snowdin alone if I can help it!" she replied, ushering him inside while Kacee trailed behind him.

"Besides, The Winterfest lights will be out soon and you two are surely far too exhausted to be teleporting. It's not a problem, really. We have the room." She added.

"Your brother's come over often enough to make sure of that."

Papyrus raised an eyebrow.

"Speaking of which, where is my brother? Weren't he and Grillbz right behind us?" he questioned.

"R-Right here!" Grillbz voiced up, following in behind his stepmom while cradling a tiny Fiyoku in his arms.

"Sorry we fell behind, Fiyoku started fussing." he added, stroking his daughter's cheek as he spoke.

"Then where's Sans?"

Grillbz opened his mouth to respond, but was interrupted by a blue flash behind Papyrus.

"Way ahead of you bro." Sans answered with a grin, ignoring the fact he had made his brother jump 3 ft in surprise.

"SANS! DON'T SCARE ME LIKE THAT!"

Sans simply shrugged.

"Hey! Not my fault I'm a ninja."

Kacee raised an eyebrow and crossed her arms at the sight of the two large crates behind Sans.

"Sans...you didn't carry all the stuff from Grillbz's stand up here yourself did you?"

Sans looked up with an innocent look.

"...and if I did?"

Adara was quick to engage, her mama bear mode activating instantly.

"Sans, I told you to take it easy! You and my son have been working that stand all day and your magic won't work properly if you're tired! What possessed you to take over? I thought you were both pulling it!" She lectured.

Grillbz sighed.

"I tried to stop him mom..." he mumbled.

Sans put his hands up in defense.

"Hey now, no need for the lecture Adara, I'm fine. Just a little winded. Grillbz had his hands full with Sparkler so I only stepped in when we got close to the house. No big deal."

Papyrus gave him an inquisitive stare.

"Then what was with the teleporting?"

Sans stared back with a wide smile.

"That was purely to give you a heart attack."

"SANS!"

Sans couldn't help but chuckle at his reaction as he tuned out the oncoming lecture, his focus shifting to Kacee and Adara's dirty looks.

"Look, I promise it won't happen again. You say take it easy, I'll take it easy. Rest of the night. No funny business. Scout's honor!"

"Sans, you were never a scout." Grillbz spoke up, placing a sleepy Fiyoku in Papyrus' arms as he did.
