"Kayleigh!" I hear as I lift up my head. Mr Jones gave me a glare from his podium as I blew my hair out of my face. I rolled my eyes and glared back "See me after class." he says in an annoyed tone. Why the hell do I even bother paying attention, history is so stupid. I lay my head back down and dose back off.
The bell to go to the buses rings and I get up and grab my books to try and get out the door quickly but Mr. Jones stops me before I can get out. "Kayleigh, I know history isn't the most exciting thing in the world but you have a F in here. Do you want to fail?" I look at him through my blonde hair and sigh, "Truthfully, I don't care, it's not like I need this credit anyway. But since it's such a big deal. Is there any extra credit I can do?" I lean against the wall and stare off into space as he gets into a drawer and rummages around through paper and other useless things teachers think they need. "Here" he says as he hands me the paper. "It's not much but it'll at least bring you up to a passing grade."
"Thanks." I say to him in an uninterested tone.
I still think history is stupid. Being in the 11th grade sucks. Even being 16 sucks, don't grow up. It's a trap. I let out a chuckle as I walk to my car. Zoe swaggers up to the passenger door and grabs the handle. I give her a toothy smile.
"How was your day hoe?" I smirk and get into the baby blue jeep. "You know" she starts to say in her high pitched 15 year old voice.
"I really..."
Then I put up one hand to stop her.
"I know, I know. You hate this stupid thing." I give her a glare. She looks at me and ask me if I'm seeing Frankie today. I shake my head. "Come on. You know what today is!" I say as I turn on the jeep and back out of the parking lot.
I can see the smile on her face out if the corner of her eye. She knows what today is. "It's our 10 year anniversary! Gosh I can believe we've been bestfriends for this long!!" She squeals as she takes a sip of the coffee she got from the lunch ladies. Her favorite creamer is Vanilla.
I look at her out of the corner of my eye and I can't help but smile because the sun is just right to give the most beautiful reflection of Zoe's eyes. The way the blue just bursts from the pupil is so magnificent. I shake my head and turn my attention back to the road. "Kayleigh are you listening to me!" Zoe punches me in the shoulder and gives me her meanest look. "Zoe I'm trying to pay attention to the road!" I chuckle and punch her back. "I'm sorry what did you say?" I ask. She starts the talk about the party she wants to go to tonight. "Please Kayleigh please!!" She begs. "Frankie's gonna be there so you can go with her." I think in my mind. 'What if I wanna go with you.' I shook that thought outta my head as fast as it got into there. Why do I think this kinda things about her?
"Zoe I don't know. You know parties aren't my sorta thing. You always get skunked and I drive you to my house just so you can throw up and pass out in my bathroom. Now does that sound like fun to you?"
I ask her with a concerned look on my face. She nods her head "Actually it does." I can't help but laugh. "Alright. We'll go. Just because I love you so much" I chuckle as I pull into my drive way. "Now missy. Go do our homework since I'll be taking us to this 'Friday night party'." Zoe sighs and gives me a sad look. "Do I have to do it all by myself?"
"Of course you do!! Sike I'll help you." I say as I grab my phone and get outta the car. I open the door for her and walk in after her. "Want anything to eat?" I ask her as I open the fridge and grab a Foke. "No thanks Kay. I had a big lunch."
"You had a big lunch?! What is this strange thing you're talking about. You barely ever eat" I say as I close the fridge. I start to walk upstairs and into my room. I jump on my bed, land on my back, and put my arms outward beside me. 'Ah' I think to myself 'It sure does feel good to lay down on my bed and rest'
