Akari's Story (remake bc the last one was cringey af)

Ch. 1: Shot

---Akari's P.O.V---

I walked back home and unlocked the front door. I saw Dad on the television watching police shows. He's a cop so he thinks he should watch this stuff.

"Oh, hey champ! How was school today?"

"It was the same as always. What are you doing coming so early from work?"

"I took the day off so I can spend the day with you. Look, I know I haven't been able to hang out with you lately and I wanna make it up to you", he smiles and turns the television off.

"D-Dad! You didn't have to do that. Your job is way more important than spending time with me"

"Nonsense, so where do you wanna go?". I thought about it for a while and said
"Can we go to that one icecream restaurant I saw last week?"

"Sure, sweetie. We can go right now if you want"

"okay, but wait. I need to get ready first.". I went upstairs to my room and put on my outfit that my Mom made for me. It was a striped turtle neck with the colors pink and magenta. There was also a light blue high waisted skirt. I put on my favorite stockings and boots and went downstairs.

"Well, someone is all dressed up~". My Dad said putting on his jacket.
"Okay, champ. You ready?"

"Yup! Let's go!"

We walked there because it wasn't that far. We talked a lot and laughed. It was very nice of him to take some of the day off for me. I'm glad I have such a great dad. We were just fine until we past a really dark ally way. There was a very shady guy wearing a black hoodie leaning on the wall. I stared at him for a second but looked away. I thought it was nothing....until he ran behind us and grabbed my hair pulling me towards him.

"HEY! LET GO OF MY DAUGHTER!". I've never heard my Dad talk like that before. He pulled out his ID to show he was a police.

"Or I'll have to lock you up.". He said

The mans voice was smooth and clear but gave me a very uneasy feeling. He chuckled.

"I'll let her go on one condition: give up.". He pulled out a gun and pressed it against my head
"Or I'll shoot her brains out".

My dad hesitated and put his hands up.
"Alright, fine....just let go of my daughter....please."

"Get on your knees!", the man demanded. My dad what he was told. I thought everything was gonna be fine. I thought he was gonna let me go....but, I was wrong. He shot my Dad right between the eyes, and I watched him fall forward and the man roughly pushed me towards my Dad and left.

"D-Dad?.....Dad?", I was frozen and I reached my hand towards him with my hand shaking.

"N-no....no! Why did this have to happen! I DONT WANT YOU TO LEAVE ME! PLEASE DON'T LEAVE ME ALONE BY MYSELF, PLEASE!! DAD? DAD!!", I was just there, on my knees screaming and crying. Obviously, I caused attention to myself and heard sirens close by. I hugged my Dad's dead body until I was pulled by a police officer. They held me close to them trying to comfort me.

"Hey, hey it's okay kid. You're okay now. I'm sorry about your Dad", he rubbed my head and I cried throughout the entire event. I pushed him away and ran straight to the forest where my Mom was buried but, I didn't go because I wanted to see her. I wanted to see another place. There's a place called Mount. Ebbot and I've heard that humans who fall down never come back.
