It was the middle of a wamr day. The blue birds were chipring. A stream trickled through the forest. A tan, crem, and dark brown pelt flashed past the river. It was a she-cat from a clan. A clan named UniqueClan.
The she-cat raced into the forest, her tail bushed out. She flashed into camp. "Quick, WebFur, WillowFlood is hurt!" she cried. "Coming!" mewed a small, old white tom. In his mouth, were a leaf wrap f herbs. He ran out of camp, folloing the cat towards WillowFlood.
The two raced through the forest. finally reaching a silver and grey she-cat's body. it had been bitten, and scratched. "What happened, Berrypaw?" asked Webfur.
"Well, WillowSplash was teaching me the Code, and then this big brown monster came up-"
"Monster, you say?" mewed Webfur. Berrypaw nodded. "How big was this, er, 'Monster', Berrypaw?"
"About as big as two cats standing on tom of each other." mewed Berrypaw.
"Hmm...I think this 'Monster', may be a dog." he mewed. Berrypaw tilted head. "Go on, help me take her back to camp." he mewed.
Berrypaw nodded, and picked her mentor up from one side, Webfur picked up the other. They two began carrying her towards camp.
Back in the camp, it was Berrypaw's first day as an apprentice. She waslked into the apprentice den with a ball of moss.
"Well well, if it isn't Berrykit!" sneered a dark cream she-cat.
"Leave me alone, Hazelpaw!" snapped Berrypaw. "My mentor's hurt, and-"
"Aww, did the baby need her mommy?" jeered Hazelpaw. She snickered as she saw tears at Berrypaw's eyes.
"Get lost, you...you LUMP OF MOUSE FAT!" she hissed. Hazelpaw snorted, and walked out of the den.
A black and ginger tom cat had heard the two cat's conversation. He walked over to Berrypaw. "Just ignore Hazelpaw. She always acts as if she's gotten crowfood in her prey." he mewed.
She slightly smiled. "Hi, my name's Berrypaw." she sat down, and curled her tail around her paws.
The tom sat down. "And I am SmokePaw." he mewed.
"Nice to meet you, Smokepaw." she smiled. Smokepaw nodded, and asked.
"Do you know my brothers, Smallpaw and Swiftpaw?" he asked.
She shook her head, "No."
"I can introduce you to them, follow me!" he mewed. he quickly trotted out of the den, and to the elder's den. The singing of the birds died away, it was getting dark.
As the two tail disappeared into the den, the drooping ferns drooped again. Covering the den entrance, creating shelter from rain, and wind.
