"He was a boy, she was a girl, cannot make it anymore obvious!" Norrie Elson sang into her hairbrush as the song Sk8r Boi By Avril Lavigne blasted through her speakers. It was 9:00 PM on a Friday night. Around the time Norrie was wishing she had friends to invite to her house for a sleepover. She thought singing would help her keep her mind of off the fact that she was utterly and painfully alone. It hurt sometimes, but she had some friends on the internet.
Maybe that's why it was so hard to get through school everyday.
Norrie sat in her classes doodling and waiting until she was home, at last, with her computer. Sometimes she just wanted to reach out and hug them. But all she could do is type and text and Skype with her only friends. Treasure, Naomi, Sierra and Tori felt the same way. Since Norrie was often sad, her far away friends wanted to be by her side to comfort her.
But that couldn't happen. The depressed, lonely 15 year girl would have to wait until she was much older to meet them.
Eventually, she gave up singing into her hairbrush. It didn't help.
Nothing will. Nothing will ever change.
It was just another night. But Norrie was strong. She didn't cry. Even though sometimes all she wanted is to lie in bed with a pillow and cry for the next week. But she didn't--she couldn't. She had to keep it together. Not so much for her, but for her mom.
If Norrie's mom, Charlotte, found out about her depression and internet obsession, there would be no end to the matter.
So she did a very good job of hiding it. But for that one moment, with Norrie's straight orangey blond hair a mess around her head, her blue sparkly hairbrush held in her hand with a loose grip, she didn't want to handle it all.
She didn't want her life.
Norrie wanted her Skater Boy.

So I started yet ANOTHER book that will probably end a fail. Like Forgotten and Story of my Life and Stars Of Love.
They all kinda sucked.
But i'm trying my VERY hardest on this one. I've read some other books and I'm using some of the tequniques of other writters.
So, try to enjoy.
PS: This whole thing about getting my writing perfect is DRIVING ME CRAZY so tell me if you like my writing :)
PPS: No, this story will not be in 3rd person, I just kinda wanted to do that for the prologue. Idk.
