"I'm sorry. I just can't go right now." Katelyn frowns, tilting her head down to the floor to avoid his gaze. He sighs, and comes to sit beside her on their bed. He'd just come in expecting her to be changed and ready to go, him already dressed in his suit.

"Are you feeling okay, baby?" Travis asks, genuinely concerned and not at all mad. Her frown deepens, and tears threaten on her cheeks.

"Yeah, must be something I ate. I-uh.. I feel sick." Katelyn decided, rubbing her arms that were dotted with goosebumps. She and Travis had barely gone out today, and they'd been looking forward to going out clubbing for awhile. But now here she was, feeling sick to her stomach over nothing.

"Okay baby, I'm going to stay home so we can—" Katelyn cuts him off.

"No! I mean, I just.. you should go. You shouldn't have to miss it because of me." Katelyn mumbles, still avoiding her husband's gaze. Travis bites his lip, concern evident on his face. He rubs her back in thought.

"Baby," He begins, about to turn down her plea. She shakes her head.

"No, Travis," She half laughs, before continuing, "I think I just need time to myself, too." She suggests softly, meeting his gaze now. She takes his hand in hers, and for a few seconds they sat there, not moving. He sighs in defeat, and makes a move to get up.

"Okay, okay. I'll go. But call me if something's wrong because I'll be back in minutes—" Travis begins to ramble, before he's swiftly cut off again by an amused Katelyn.

"Thanks honey," she smiles, and he leans in to kiss her, his lips lingering before he finally waved goodbye and walked out of the bedroom.

Katelyn fell back on to her bed in a flourish. She was really worn out. They'd gone for an extremely low-key walk by the beach a few hours ago, and the rest of the day they'd just hung out inside. Tonight they were saving their energy for being pumped in the nightclubs situated about the island, but here she was missing it.

Katelyn forced herself off the bed. Better to drown herself in food to help her forget for now. She was crazy hungry for pickles, but felt like she might throw up in seconds. It was such a strange combination, and she didn't want to think about it any further.

In the kitchen, she was greeted by a happy couple having a conversation and not even noticing her walk into the room.

"You should add more sugar,"

"No way! It'll ruin the recipe!"

"It'll be as sweet as you then~"

"Stop! I'm trying to focus—" The woman cuts off as she spots her best friend, a mischievous smile on Katelyn's face. That was a first. She'd never caught Zane's sorry attempts at flirting before.

"Katelyn-senpai, Travis-kun just left.." Kawaii-Chan states unsurely, the concern in Travis' eyes now reflected in her own.

"I know. I wasn't feeling up to it, so I'm just gonna stay home. You two aren't going?" Katelyn asks, passing behind Kawaii-Chan. Zane snorts from across the table, and Kawaii-Chan shakes her head.

"Zane— Zane And Kawaii-Chan don't really like the nightlife," Zane grumbles at that fix, and she continues, "We were going to watch another movie or something while you were gone, but.." she trails off, and Katelyn notes with pickles now secured in her hand that Kawaii-Chan really began to tamper off of talking in the third person. She was extremely proud of her best friend.

"Don't let me stop you. I'm just going to grab this and you won't see me for the rest of the night." Katelyn smirked, nudging Kawaii-Chan in the side. Kawaii-Chan giggled, and Zane's face went a tint pink.
