"Liam! Give me back my toothbrush! I'm going to be late for school." It was the first day of sixth grade and Liam was already ruining her day. She started running and knocking on his door. "Come on, dude. This isn't cool."

"What is going on here?" Mrs. Jones placed the laundry basket on the floor.

"Liam, took my toothbrush." Mrs. Jones had an annoyed expression spread across her face.

"Liam! Open up." She knocked. He opened the door and he stood there pretending to be innocent. Jess's blood was boiling.

"What?" He raised the question.

"Jess says you took her toothbrush, come on give it back." She let out her hand.

"I don't have it." He said.

"Liar!" Jess spat.

"I swear, I don't." He defended. Mrs. Jones walked in and started looking for the missing toothbrush. Without Mrs. Jones, noticing, he put his tongue at Jess.

"Cecille! He's lying." She complained.

"No, I'm not. Go and check the bathroom." He defended.

"You guys, this isn't funny. I have a lot of things to do and I have to go downstairs now, Liam give it back to her." Mrs. Jones picked up the laundry basket and headed downstairs.

"Come on, just give it back." She asked.

"Like I said, I don't have it." Finally done with all his antics, she kicked his shin, leaving him hopping around his room.

"Ouch! What the--"

"You think I can't fight back?" She exclaimed. He put his food down and started walking towards her. He was inching closer and closer until they were only a breath apart.

Her eyes were filled with rage, yet with a slight hint of fear. He had never been this close to her.

"Okay. Seems like you could handle yourself now." He smirked.

"Yes, I can." She tried to hide the nervousness in her voice. Her thoughts started to ramble, Was he going to kill me? Be even meaner to me? Ruin my life?

"Well, doesn't mean I'll stop annoying you."
And at that moment, she knew that he wasn't ever going to let her live in peace.
