One day, I didn't feel well about myself because someone kept on pointing out the things they don't like about me and I was having second thoughts of my self, until my brotger came into my room, sat beside me and showede me a picture of a butterfly.

"what? What is this?" I asked confused.

He asked me "It's beautiful right?" I nodded and then he continued to speak.

"Well you see it wasn't always beautiful, heck was it pretty from the start. It wasn't always colorful like this, it's a small caterpillar first, he was avoided by others because she wasn't that good looking so she ate and ate, swallowing every comments about her, not realizing one day she was covered by all of those, negativity, self-loath, anxiety and depression ate her whole being, she became a chrysalis full of wounds, until one day she opened her eyes and thought how about I'll flee, and so she did, she went out of that dark world her mind made, and there, revealed a beautiful butterfly with wings in like of a rainbow, then she flew freely never to mind what others have to say, she sang and dance while flapping her beautiful wings and oh how happy she was."

He paused and, "did you understand my point?"

I nodded not quiet sure of the answer.

"It means, you don't have to live a life full of what ifs from people who doesn't really value you amd that you're beautiful when you start believing in yourself." My brother spoked.

And I came to realize that my brother is right, I don't have to look at myself from their perspective.

I smiled at him and hugged him real tight and ran outside my room while grinning.

"It's time for me to show them who I really am, if they won't accept me, then they should be the one to adjust, not me. I'll be confident with me." I thought to myself.
