Love Yourself Theory

In these theory we will look at the Magic shop or teaser for Fake Love. a little bit of the short films. The Highlight Reel and obcorse Fake Love. We will mention some things of the Wings theory, so if you haven't read my Wings theory look no farther than this point.

So let's begin with the Magic Shop. At the beginning of the teaser the objective or purpose of the Magic Shop is written. "Magic Shop is a psychodramatic techniques that exchanges fear for a positive attitude ."

We soon see that when Jimin, Tae, Hobi, Yoongi, Jin and Namjoon get in the Magic Shop. Jimin gives this picture of a forest that we see in many of the short films especially Lie. That object reminds him of the first time he Lied. In return he gets an umbrella. Tae's object is not, though it is thought to maybe be a phone. Seen but he gets a backpack. Like the one that the girl was carrying in the Highlight Reel. Hobi gives a chocolate bar (sniker) and gets a cake. The one he gets in the Highlight Reel or maybe even the cake thrown at Joons face in Spring Day. Witch would make sense because the boys are shown having fun. Yoongi's object is not seen but there are suspicions that it might be the lighter given by "Her" in the Highlight Reel. Or a single piano key representing his mother's death. He gets a lollipop like the one he gets in the Highlight Reel. Joon gives a broken glass. From the mirror seen in his short film also seen in Magic Shop were he writes "You need to survive ". He gets a black rubber band in exchange. We see it in the Highlight Reel.

Jin gives his earpiece. He knows the "truth"about everything. We will talk about the "truth" in the next chapter though. What does he receive we don't know. Maybe the red diary from Highlight Reel or a camera. Then Jungkook is basically pushed in, or maybe he was running. But Jungkook's hands are empty and takes nothing out of any pockets. So he brings only himself and his soul. He walks to the kind of office thing where he receives a box holding a key. What did he give, did he just exchanged himself or his soul? Yes. He sacrificed himself for the happiness of the others. The background changes and inserts the key he was given into a door. When he gets in there there is a hooded person with a mask. Then the teaser ends.  But we still have to explore the video Fake Love.

We know that they have gone to the Magic Shop before. The thing they receive don't make them happy but makes them forget that they are sad. It's a fake emotion/feeling or happyness., a Fake Love. Fake Love begins with Jin closing the windows in a room. Maybe also locking Jungkook somewhere. Jin has a secret the "truth" and is trying to hide it from the rest. Why would he hide Jungkook though? There's a place mentioned in Spring Day called Omelas. Were everything is happy but for everything to be happy one must be left in misery. Like in the Magic Shop when Jungkook sacrifices himself for the others happiness. He is hidden because of that. Jin tries to hide the "truth" but fails. Soon  Jungkook realises that his sacrifice the effect is temporary. It's like comparing DNA with Fake Love. the sets look similar but one of them looks happier than the other.

Jungkook is always watching them trying to save them from their pain, and it looks like they know that. Their happiness fades away throughout the video showing their fears and concerns. This happens especially when Jungkook gets to this room where there is some sort of waterfall and gets out of Omelas. He lets the the "truth"out. When he leaves the happiness of the others start to disappear. The reason Jungkook gave himself up is because his fear. The fear of the others unhappiness. Soon the others find out the "truth". But they can't accept the "truth" so that's why they go to the Magic Shop. When Jungkook is in the waterfall like place a door opens. Maybe leading him to the one where the hooded person with the mask is. Remember there are six posts in that room and only one has de costume. Well maybe this is because the other members already took the costume. It's also the same room where Jin kept the "truth". Jungkook probably thought that if he let out the secret the other members will be okay again but they are not. This is because they don't love themself with their mistakes. And they don't love their lives. So they hide. Jungkook can't take seeing his friend like that so he follows them like seen in the extended version of Fake Love. it appears the only way they will ever be okay is if they learn to love themselves. So their message is clear. Love Yourself.
